Opinions on Electric Cutouts for small block

I've got DOUGS electric cutouts. They are close to the headers but it does not sound like it did when the headers were really open. I think it sounds good and so does everyone else They are a knife blade design and do not leak at all when closed. Bought 2 1/2" since that was the size of the...

    Idler arm hits on header

I started with Hooker comp series on my 67 Dart 340. I had the problem of hitting on the coupler on the steering on driver side and the idler arm on the passenger. I ended up grinding on the center link & idler arm to get me more clearance and dimpling on both sides. They still were very close...

When the engine was reinstalled in my Dart the Hooker headers were removed and a set od TTI installed. The exhaust from the headers to mufflers was changed to improve the way the Doug's Electric Cutouts were placed and a formed X pipe instead of made at muffler shop Still need to fix the...

Wanted - Set of Electric Exhaust Cutouts

2 minutes to unbolt, 10 seconds open for you My wife wanted them so when we pull in shows or cruise night to open them They are not for power or trips to the drag strip were 2 minutes in pits is no big deal. It is cool to be going down the interstate at 70 mph and be able to open the headers...

    Show Me Your Tips!!!!

in the mid to late 70's it was popular to bring the exhaust out before the rear wheels. I did it on a pick up I had, bought a 69 Charger that it had already been done, and even thought about doing it to my Prowler I like the factory look of the Dart exhaust, don't have to worry about hitting...

    cutouts

My wife thought we needed them. So we have them. I don't care for the way they are on the car and when it goes back together the hookers are gone and TTI in their place and a new SS X pipe and reloate the way the cutouts are in the system Mine are made by Doug's and are a knife blade design...
