we had a mechanic at the dealership that would "hone" the cylinders oversize. not sure how large, maybe .005"? they were tight, his break in procudure was to start the engine, let it run till it started slowing down. shut it off, cool down and THEN add coolant! glad it wasn't my car...don't...

I've wondered about attaching a plenum to the front and running ductwork across the ceiling similar to some of the restaurants around here.

    any blacksmiths on the line?

Strong arms and wrists? I've watched the show and while it doesn't look easy, they do a good job of showing what can happen. Let us know how his adventure turns out. I also imagine a large anvil and hammer with a solid handle is also needed. Don't forget the fire extinguisher!

found one with a 1.3 hp motor, they say it can only be run up to 23 seconds at a time. others showed 2 and 3 hp motors, both rated at 15 amps. A hd extension cord would be needed and bigger the better if you are running any distance. try the motor you have if not to costly for the parts. maybe...

How many of you do woodworking / DYI stuff?

I dabble. Grandpa could make anything with basic hands tools. Dad had a wood working shop but since I was interested in cars, most of the equipment was sold. I could contribute by telling people not to do it the way I do cause it's probably wrong.
