    New! And some header questions..

the drawers and parts remind me of the early ford pro/Stock headers with flat collectors merged with a NASCAR side exhaust. If you have the ability, give it a try! You may stumble onto something nobody else has thought of. And then we can see "we saw it here first"!

    New! And some header questions..

Welcome! Sounds like a very difficult project to visualize but would be great with a turbo hung on the collector...although that would take care of the sound.

    before the axle turn downs

straight back MIGHT cook the gear lube in the diff. IF the exhaust is aimed right at it. below it might be okay if it doesn't hang too low. tips at a 45 INWARD, towards each other is supposed to cancel out some sound but not sure about kicking dust up.

    Hooker 5204 Problem

they are designed for the 72 and earlier linkage...studs point up. on mine, somebody previously had installed a BB pitman arm. if that helped with clearance or not, I don't remember BUT I did tale the grease zerk out and installed an allen set screw. it was flush (almost) with the bottom of the...

    side exit exhaust

had a shop make 2-1/2" tail pipes for a A-body. one ended up being 2 piece but was gorgeous...cost a case of beer. another shop would plug the end of the pipe with an expansion plug, fill with sand and the plug the other end before bending. maybe if you tell them about that method, they could...

    Best way to paint headers

http://www.speedwaymotors.com/Tech-Line-Coatings-Black-Satin-Ceramic-Header-Coating-12-oz,35785.html I have not used this myself but plan to.If I remember correctly,it keeps more heat inside the pipes and does not release it when shut off.

    67-72 vs 73-76 SB headers

Thanks Dustertogo! Am looking at a 73 Dart Sport and have a set of street headers that I think are JR headers. and just like the Hookers the front tube goes straight down and under the k-frame. Thanks again! Bob

    67-72 vs 73-76 SB headers

I am wondering if headers that were made for the 67-72 style V8 k-frame with a small block will fit the 73-76 style V8 small block k-frame.Hooker 5204's come to mind because the number 1 tube goes straight down and under the k-frame.Will they work on the later design IF the car does not have a...

    hooker headers suck

What do you have? Did you take out the steering linkage? On mine, I removed the outer tie rod ends from the spindles, idler arm from the k-frame and center link from the pitman arm. Slid that out thru the tubes of the headers. Starter comes out and back in when the d.s. header pivots off the...
