ga. it was a better shift but not harsh like some i've seen.

i had always run the 5.0 leaver and naver had a trans shift harshly. have a 3,2 in my current trans because thats what i has.

i just ordered the low gear set from A&A. i got the reinforced (welded) one for my piece of mind.. probably didn't need it but felt better about it.

i used to know all this **** but it was so long ago since i thought about it i've forgotten most of it.. uw put a liw gearset 904 in my buddies 66 barracuda and it works well.. that thing has a stock long block, hemi gring cam and a street tunnel ram with that low gear 904 ans a 3.23 gear...

what my best bet for gathering the parts.. i have a few good std. 904 transmissions laying around that can use. is it better to just find a non lock up version? if so what am i looking for and how do i identify? the friend that does my transmissions says i need: pump direct drum sun gear...

i wouldn't pull a 727 to put a 904 in either.. why bother if everything is there. i'm not spending the money unless i'm going for every bit of time at the track. that being said, i'm not pulling a 904 for a boat anchor 727 either. i don't know what you are doing wrong to blow up so many 904...

play around with this calculator.. Speed/Tire/RPM calculator had 3.55 gear in my old dart with a 27 or 28" tire in the rear.. while it was better then the 3.91's i previously had i still didn't like it.. i prefer a 2.94-3.23 myself.

2.94 or 3.23 gear are the best two in my opinion.

I've always been able to get those top bolts with a wrench. not sure what the issue could be.

car isn't running in the pic. yea it liks that space. i have an abody leaver at the trans so a longer lever may be adjusted different. has a very nice shift pattern where it is.

lol. yup, i usually cut quite a bit off to make it fit and work properly.

did you cut the cable housing properly? I've installed many lokar set ups and have it on our current dart and it fits and works great.

3.23 would be nice. i love the 2.94. either way a 408 should have enough tq to move it along pretty well depending how ya built it.

should really know the gear you are using before picking a converter.
