before the alt. i'd recommend the proper oulleys and brackets. you have a/c pulleys on that thing now.

they work.. turn switch is sloppy though.. not a fan of the way its works.. ign switch works fine.. maybe a cleaning woudl be a good thing on that though.

evans sucks, last one i got form them had bad crimps all over it. i wasn't alone, there were quite a few posts on various boards about the same issue.

American autowire classic update is pretty much the best out there right now. not the cheapest but best.

their classic update kits are some nice harnesses... some would consider them expensive but you get what you pay for in cases like this.

have you called american auto wire and asked them? the tech help is pretty good there.. especially if you get a hold of donnie who designs the kits.

have you tried starting in neutral? or exercising the shifter? maybe the neutral safety switch isn't quite making.

i have one in our dart. i pulled the ballast out, connected all the wires that went to the ballast and added a wire from that connection that rins to the dist.

whats the intended use of the car? what are you putting in it? radio, a/c, electric fans, electric fuel pumps... etc... etc... etc??? I'd be saving for s better harness myself if its anything other then a stripped out drag type of car
