have you read all the horror stories with them? poor product and even worse customer service. thats a ton of coin for a questionable product. had a buddy with the passon 4 speed od (not the 855) and loved it.

I'd stay away from that 5 speed.

passon is good unless you want the 5 speed.

this thread just confirmed to me that it would be crazy to spend the money on this trans. this is not the first time ive heard/read about issues with this thing along with the not being able to get parts for it down the road. could end up with a very expensive paper weight

man seeing what you have to cut out to fit these transmissions into an abody makes me really wish that the 855 that passon was selling wasn't such a pile of ****. no way am i cutting all that out of a spotless original paint car like ours..

and you know when someone says it works great 95% of the time that it really means 50-70% of he time...lol

I'm glad some of you guys are happy with it and all but if I spent the that kind of coin on something that worked great only 95% of the time I'd be pissed. All I can say I'd buy up all the parts you can for that thing while you can. The idea of it was a great one. The execution of it not so...

1) i think if he is happy then cool for him. i'm no where near disappointed that he is happy. 2) nothing lost in translation there. no way around it. that is not great feedback from a customer. not the type of language i'd want doing a review for me..:)

sounds like you are a lucky one, though "works nice" and "isn't a bad product" isn't exactly and glowing endorsement...lol..

exactly.. i'd rather know going in (my decision if buying) that i'll be cutting to make it fit then dropping all that money on a bolt in and finding out after the fact that its a pile of **** with no support after purchase.

DON'T DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!! there is a huge thread floating around here with all the details and problems a member had with that over priced junk.. go in a different direction. go with something that you will still be able to get parts for in 3 years...

yea this thread sure would make most go that route. plus in 5 years you know you'll still be able to get tremec parts if ya need them.

Man does passon and gfi look bad in all of this. Passon always had a good name but now I'd be a little hesitant to purchase anything from him after hearing all this.

I don't know. The step by step process of your troubles would be interesting on other sites. Personally i'd have it posted on every Mopar site and Facebook page I could find. You seem to really down play the power of the internet. Give this guy a chance and if he fails bash the hell out of...

i'm so glad i never got sucked into buying one of those damn transmissions. you never buy the first run of something is what i always say. wait till its out for a while and get real world feedback first. in this case real world feedback blows. waste of money this thing is. just wait...

Install should be pretty straight forward. its just a standard case with a different gear set in it.. Need the right bell housing, the proper shifter and proper spline clutch disc. Oh and the proper length drive shaft.
