    Plastic/Cardboard headliner

All the ABS headliners I see for the Dart hardtop are listed for 73 - 75. Is there any reason they wouldn't fit on a 70 Swinger? All the hardtops from 67 onward have the same roof, don't they? My 70 Swinger currently has a warped old cardboard headliner.

I'll check it out. I have a couple of kick panels I might shoot with the left over paint.

    Painted my rear seats

In hindsight, it was a good idea to be lazy and put them back in after a few days. I'm sure the paint cured more in that time. And the interior still smells a bit like paint even now, 2 weeks later. It's not a big deal though, and seems to go well with the small of oil, grease, and unburnt...

Thanks, they really do look like they were made in black. I tell people I painted them and people are really surprised.

    Painted my rear seats

Here's a shot of the seat back: And finally, after letting them come up to temperature in the garage for a week, here they are in the car. OK, so the temperature had nothing to do with it. I was just being a bit lazy:

    Painted my rear seats

Hey guys, I thought I would do up a quick little post on the spray job I did on the rear seat in my 70 Swinger. When the car came into my family 31 years ago it had seats from an Aspen or Volare. They rotted out years ago and about 8 years ago I found this rear seat for sale online: I ran...

    Awesome New Carpet!

I'm in the process of installing my new carpet right now. Ordered from stock interiors and got the carpet in 3 days. Not bad considering I'm in a foreign country. I ordered it a couple of months ago, but as soon as it arrived I unboxed it and laid it out. It looked pretty good right away, but...

Ignition lock cylinder question - what's the difference between 70/71 and 72 up??

Hey guys, I've got a 70 Swinger. I'm in the middle of swapping from column shift to floor shift + console, and as part of the steering column swap I want to replace my ignition lock cylinder. It's worn out pretty good. The problem is my column shift column is from a 1970 car, and I'm pretty...

Who Makes One Quality One-Piece Carpets?

Hey guys, thanks for all your replies. I did some more research last night, and it seems like the carpets for later cars (74 - 76) are more likely to be one piece, but none of the vendors I found definitively said they were one piece carpets - many said two piece, and others said nothing - but...

Who Makes One Quality One-Piece Carpets?

I thought the ACC carpets were original-style two piece? Am I wrong on that?

Who Makes One Quality One-Piece Carpets?

Hey Guys, I'm working on the interior of my '70 Swinger and it's about time to replace the carpet. I know the cars originally came with 2 piece carpets, but I'm not stuck on the original look at all. To me, a 1 piece carpet makes way more sense. Can anyone tell me who makes a good 1 piece...

Blast Masters! I need your help.

Hey Guys, My 1970 rallye dash was painted a couple of decades ago, and it's starting to look a little rough. I want to give it a repaint, but I'd like to try and get the old paint off first. Obviously I don't want to destroy the plastic, especially the shapes and text that is molded into...

    Seat belts

Thanks Craig. I think I'm going to go with the XV's. No one has had anything bad to say about them, and the price sure is right.

    Seat belts

The Morris classics are a bit pricey, but there are some good deals on seatbelt plus. The Mopar 1971-74, Retractable 3-Point Conversion Seat Belts for A, B & E Body w/ Bucket Seats look good, they have the drop so the belt doest go across your neck, but it looks like the receptacle isn't the...

    Seat belts

The logo thing is really a non issue, now that I think about it. How do the XV's fit? Do they look out of place at all, or do they look like they belong?

    Seat belts

So... no advice an retractable seat belts, hey guys? I guess seat belts aren't as exciting as talking about big horsepower. At least not until that moron in the German built SUV the makes a left turn right in front of you.

    Seat belts

Thanks for the reply Darter. Yeah, I definitely should have mentioned that the car is a 70 Swinger. It has the mount for a shoulder belt, but as far as I can tell there were never shoulder belts in the car. Do those Jegs belts have a drop section so the belt doesn't come across your neck? When...

    Buying headliner

I'm not 100% sure where to get one, but there have been a few FABO threads about this: http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/showthread.php?t=31467&page=2 I know you can get them at Jim's for your application, but I've never seen them for the '70 hardtop so I haven't done too much research on...

    Airplane Seatbelts

I got them from falconparts.com, but they are a generic type of seat belt (not a Furd part) http://www.falconparts.com/1960-1965+SEAT+BELTS.html After I bought mine I found the same thing on eBay for a couple bucks less. Can't seem to find it right now, though.

Most aftermarket sets are that type. I put a set in my Falcon. They were pretty cheap too; about $25 each with all hardware.
