Higher than stock fin count Run a 3 row

That motor will work with a fan clutch. Water pump flange is same as stock 383 car. Your clearance problem is from the radiator sitting too far back, aluminum pulley thickness (not much). If you are running stock Trans mount, the motor probably isn’t shifted too far forward.

Then you might be able to re-use the old mounting flange on the new one with some craftsmanship and ingenuity.

The OP didn’t specifically say which water pump he was using.... If he running the 69-down cast iron water pump, they would work if he’s running the newer 70-up aluminum water pump, those outlets are in the wrong side.

he said he didn’t have room for a mechanical fan. But from what you posted he may have room depending on his measurement

Getting a shroud for mechanical fans is the biggest issues with these aluminum radiators. And most aluminum radiators push the core back closer to the engine do to their poor cost cutting design and added core thickness.

the factory ones had room. get the right radiator, factory shroud, and low profile clutch fan and you’ll be fine. a lot of the cheap aluminum radiators have brackets that push the core into the motor.

I have a cheap Champion 4 row in my 416. Drive in 90+ So Cal weather. At track in California desert, highway cruise at 3400+ rpm... no issues. I suspect there’s more issues than a radiator going on.

You can run 25% antifreeze to 75% in California unless you live in a ski resort at high elevation.
