Good points. I guess, it just seems you can't let your guard down and assume things are going to look nice. I see all these guys around town freeway racing, doing street takeovers, and stuff with these SRT's. There are some beat on mopar's out there.

Thanks, that really helps people understand adjust their expectations and what to watch out for. And adjust what they are willing to pay accordingly. These are just used motors like buying a 440 or 360. Don't get over impressed by a 3 year old motor. Also, is their a higher chance of owner...

What did you find in this advertised low mile take out that made you decide to rebuilt it? Would like to know what to look for. Areas of concern. And what to expect from these "take out" motors. Thanks for the post and great pictures

Road Racing Duster 6.4 Hemi E85 6 speed Ms3 Pro Evo EFI

I have a set of 275/40/17’s. They fit front with a lot of clearance. But I want to mock up 295/35/18 or 315/30/18 :D

Road Racing Duster 6.4 Hemi E85 6 speed Ms3 Pro Evo EFI

sounds like mock up tires would help. I need some. Where do you find cheap worn out 275, 295, 315 18” tires?

Road Racing Duster 6.4 Hemi E85 6 speed Ms3 Pro Evo EFI

Just run a tube tucked tight instead or put the tube in the engine compartment. Would suck to flare or more flare for something with easier alternative.

Road Racing Duster 6.4 Hemi E85 6 speed Ms3 Pro Evo EFI

Check the clearance between the wide tires front to those inner fender reinforcements. buddy build a SEMA A-body with more narrow tires and he had to notch the braces. need to mock up with tires

    Hemi swap oil pan questions

If you have manual steering from a A/B/E/F body, it should be small sector. Big sector manual boxes are from C-bodys and Vans I believe. Measure yours. If it's large sector manual, buy a 73-76 (large sector) power steering pitman.

    Borgeson Power Steering Installed

So you are running the 73-up A-body manual steering small sector pitman.

    Borgeson Power Steering Installed

IIRC, the 1st gen large spline had issues with the nut being flush or barely past the end of the shaft with stock washer. Glad to this small spline install went smoothly. Would like to hear about a large spline install though too. Also I see they added a triangular gusset from the output shaft...

    Borgeson Power Steering Installed

Thank you for that pic. Is that a small spline '72 and down pitman or the larger '73-up pitman.? There were some issues in the past with box angle and with position of pitman on spline shaft.

Could you post a picture of the pitman arm nut showing how much thread is showing past the nut? Also, how level is your center link? Have you put a level on it and compared to the body (flat board across bottom frame rails)?

    Help in So Cal

There was a purple 71 Demon that won best of show modified that had a new hemi conversion. He's from Arizona and his son is a FABO member.

Great show. A number of us in the Chrysler Performance West club will be coming out. Sorry, I don't know of anyone local that has done a hemi swap. There were a few very clean ones at Spring Fling I saw.

Exactly. And sure you get bend some tube and magically header appear. The fixtures over at TTI that every header goes on takes two people to lift.

    Beware: Plum Floored Creations....

Try to pick a shop for a major project that is physically close to you. That way you can physically stop by every month or two weeks and check the progress. I know for some people that is not possible. But if you live in someplace like Los Angeles, there are capable shops out there. Find...

    Tincup's 63 Dart w/5.7 Hemi

I REALLY like what you did with that car Tincup. That car shows a lot of talent and eye. Great job of going out of the "norm". Way out! A 63 Dart GT is certainly not the first car one thinks of building a Hot Rod and pro touring type car out of. Very tastefully done by use of some great...

    Tincup's 63 Dart w/5.7 Hemi

Please don't. Your car makes people think. It already has changed the way people look at the 60-66 A-bodies. With the proper media attention it deserves will make a lot more people look at things differently. I go to the weekly Sunday car cruise in around here and there are like 15 to...

    3G hemi into 1G Barracuda

I thought you need special conversion oil pan, pickup, conversion mounts and TTI headers. And thats with the wider 2G A-bodies. I thought staying with the stock front end is very tight with the 2G A-bodies. I would think it is even tougher with the 1G A-body. I'd talk to Bill Reily at...
