I've heard the Dynomax mufflers are just a rebranded Walker Turbo muffler. You can probably find Walker mufflers locally for less money then a Dynomax.

How much room do you have to work with? The Hayden clutch(part #2765) is 2.67" tall.

A thinner lock ring coupled with a thinner gasket is the problem. I haven't had any issues but I saved the original lock ring just in case.

Other body styles may be different but most likely, you won't get it out with the tank in. You really don't even need to remove it. Just drop the tank down and the filler neck will slide right out.

Have you checked for coolant in the trans? The trans cooler could have a leak.

Confirm the carb is at WOT when the pedal is pushed to the floor. I've seen where the pedal/linkage was damaged and the butterflies weren't being opened all the way.
