    moog offset bushings too big?

Size on size is a press fit. RRR is right, .002 is what I would expect. .014 is an interference fit and pressing into a stamped metal part may destroy the UCA.

.014 is a pretty big difference for parts pressing together.

    moog offset bushings too big?

Careful when heating the control arm, you dont want to get it too hot. If it turns straw color your starting to get it too hot. I use a boiling pot of water to heat parts. I have an old grill and pot just for stuff like this. Don’t let the wife catch you in the kitchen, lol.

Separating stuck inner tie rod ends

Hammers are for driving nails and beating the **** out of a pos when you are pissed off. With the exception of a body hammer. I don’t use one for any thing other than the 2 uses I stated.

    8 3/4 avle/springs/shocks question ??

I replaced a broken leaf spring in my pickup for $100, but that was 15 years ago. I’m sure they have gone up. I’m lucky that I have a spring shop, Babcock spring, 20 miles from me. They make all springs in house and will make any custom spring you want. They are very good at what they do, you...

    8 3/4 avle/springs/shocks question ??

Not following you, /6 leafs or ss leaf springs? You should be able to have a pair of ss springs made with less arch. Look for a local spring shop that makes truck springs, big trucks break springs all the time, highly serviceable part. I like the nitto’s over the mickey’s. The 3:91 may be a...

Best tools for separating tie rods and control arm ball joints

Best thing about the hf tool is no smacking stuff with a hammer and I drove one out that was 50 years stuck stupid. And I dont let hammer mechanics work on my cars.

Best tools for separating tie rods and control arm ball joints

The HF is the way to go. You don’t have to wait for one and not pay stupid money on other ones made in the same place, China or India. Best if you pop them out while the car is assembled cause they tend to fly like bullets when they let loose. You know death by ball joint.

    Steering shaft U-Joint question?

Non splined? I would put a tapered pin in it, small end at least 1/4” using a tapered reamer. That way it will not come out. I would not hesitate to put a few tack welds on it using a stainless rod cause it will weld dissimilar metals and not crack out. Make sure you peen the welds right after...

    Under hood brace

An underhood brace would be one that connects to both shock towers. These are popular in mustangs and I have never seen one on a mopar. On mopars the fender aprons are structural. More bracing can be added like the one you have pictured. Another option is the braces sold by US Car Tool and...

How do you straighten a k-frame off the car? Is it worth it?

Once it’s bent out of shape and you bend it back, the bent part will be a weak point. I would just look for another one. $275 is not that much if its in good shape. Start out with a good one, weld it completely and gusset it.
