Dash Pad Question for 75 Duster

I find it hard to believe that Just Dashes doesn't know what a '69-76 A-body dash pad looks like. They've probably restored hundreds if not thousands of those pads. They probably have one they're doing right now that they could use as a contour template.

    Speedometer question: 1960 Valiant

It's probably not available as a replacement part, and I wouldn't want to try to replace it myself without the specialty tools needed.

    Speedometer question: 1960 Valiant

The only real gearing is for the odometer. The speedometer is a spinning shaft with a magnet on the end that sits close to a steel shell with the needle attached to it. Usually the bushing on the shaft wears out allowing the magnet to hit the shell causing it to jump around and break the needle.

    Speedometer question: 1960 Valiant

Most wrecking yards have a guarantee that their parts work. You might also check with Instrument Specialties to see what it would cost to repair your speedometer.

    Turn signal lever knob

I don't believe the knob was ever available as a separate part as it's not supposed to come off.

    Nuts!

I've always called them "speed nuts". Hex head, stamped steel, and self threading. They were made in various sizes. I can't remember what yours should be that year.....7/16"? 1/2" wrench size....something like that I think. Someone here is bound to have a sample to measure.

    Sizes of Thumb Wheel Radios

I found most of the thumbwheel radios would swap if you used the correct radio chrome bezel for the metal dash frame and it's bezel. There were differences in the radio support bracket stud however, so, sometimes you had to make a custom one out of plumber's tape. Black vs chrome on the buttons...

    67 Barracuda Speedometer Questions

Since they only list the one speedo in the FSM, I'm assuming it's the push-on type and has trip.

    67 Barracuda Speedometer Questions

I show the '68 150 speedo as being 2889424, and the late '68-9 cable being 2889783. The speedo face plates were silk screened differently from '67 to '69 if you care about the look.

    67 Barracuda Speedometer Questions

The part number for the '67 150MPH speedometer is 2771628, and IIRC they were available with a trip odometer. Early '68's used a screw-on cable too, but, I can't remember if they were the same '67 version face or, the '68 version.

    wiper switch nut

Get the proper tool, make your own out of an old socket, carefully use needlenose pliers, or, tap it loose with a hammer and a small flat blade screwdriver. Start by soaking it in penetrating oil. I like to reach around to the back side and wiggle/twist the switch a bit to break the nut loose...

How do I reinstall the trunk latch cover on my '64 cuda?

You post here asking for help, and then berate us when we point out that accidental swapping of a hood latch with a trunk latch is not uncommon. Not cool, and I don't think it is helpful in solving your problem and will probably turn a few people off to assisting you should you need additional...

How do I reinstall the trunk latch cover on my '64 cuda?

Looks more like a hood latch than a trunk latch. The trunk latch should have a pop-up like what Syleng 2 shows in his photo. Looks like yours is a replacement cover too. You may have to trim it for the pop-up, or use a different trunk latch without that arm sticking out.

    1966 Dart

The inside door emblems just pry off. You do have to take a bit of care doing it though, as the metal clip can break off the pot metal emblem. If you can spray some WD40 up in that area on the inside of the door, that will help. Use stiff putty knives or wide screw drivers and pry about an inch...

    69 Valiant rear seat

'67-9 2dr sedans should fit ok. Not sure on whether the '67-72 2drht's would be exactly right or not. I would guess that it would, but, no guaranty from me as I haven't actually tried that swap. The 4dr seat bottoms are a bit different shape on the ends, but, should fit in the car and the back...

A25 interior group code not on fender tag

How about a photo of the speaker switch in it's current location. As for the interior options, I don't see anything out of the typically equipped '72 Duster 340. A VL probably wouldn't have come with those options, but, a higher priceline probably did as standard equipment.
