You know i would not think a reluctor could go bad but maybe, you do have current jumping at it alot. But that is a possibility. I would never have guessed. I would think the magnet part which i think is called a phaser correct me if im wrong.

Look up under dash where the arm is at on the brake pedal and see the switch is hitting the brake arm.

I read this post and my car did not start my coil went bad today..LOl

What about the fusible link.. So when you hook up a straight lead to the coil it fires up? The alternator did not ground out meaning one of the wires is not touching the engine block (i had that happen to me)Burned up the wire.

I read that if i install a newer version alternator that i should unhook the wires to my stock amp meter and tape them together. Will this short out any wiring or can those wires be wired to an aftermarket volt meter.
