Exactly How Do I Install Hooker Headers if Possible

Like 340six said, getting the car up as high as possible (safely) , and patience is the key. If you have access to a lift, that would be the way to go. I have been fooling with these old Mopars for 50 years, and like 340six said, I have installed many sets of Hooker headers over the years. Yes...

    TTI Header install issues

I've never found any "junk" headers that flop right in an A body. As a matter of fact, I've never found any headers that flop right in an A body.

    Remflex header gaskets

Just got a set of the Remflex gaskets. Should the smoother side of the gasket be installed toward the head (aluminum) or the header, or does it make a difference? Thanks, Robert

    New Doug's Dent?

Do these work in a Duster with 4 speed (Z bar) and a Milodon oil pan?

    67-72 vs 73-76 SB headers

Hooker 5204 will work if the car does not have the sway bar.

    opinions on hooker headers

Yep. There are NO headers made by anyone that will fit ALL possible combinations of bellhousings, oil pans, starters, etc. You'll still find that you have to grind, tweek, or otherwise "adjust" something.

    hooker headers

Will they fit?............Yes. Will they fit without some tweaking?.......No. For one, if you run a factory front sway bar, the sway bar mounting bracket blocks the opening in the k member that the #1 header tube on the super comps must go through. If the car is going to be for the strip...

    340 Dart GTS Headers

Most of them are "frozen up" and don't function anyway.

    Best deal on TTI headers

Well I went to manual steering also, but kept the sway bar. I've just always run the sway bar and haven't really thought about ditchin' it. Yours does fine without it?

    Best deal on TTI headers

What about with a front sway bar (factory)? I was thinking that the #1 tube went down through the k member where the bracket for the sway bar is.

T.T.I's vs. ........you be the judge

No need to google. I know who Joey Arrington is as well as his "infamous" dad Buddy. What specifically is he doing to "set up" the engine to run 1 5/8 - 1 3/4 step headers?

T.T.I's vs. ........you be the judge

Thus the problem. The 414 stroker going in the Duster has well over 500 hp and very, very, massaged Eddy magnum heads. I could probably bring myself to pay the price for the tti's since they certainly wouldn't be the first thing I've bought that I didn't think was worth the money, but in this...

    Best deal on TTI headers

I'm still undecided what I'll do for headers for my 73 Duster when the 414 goes in. I would really prefer to find a 1 3/4" header from flange to collector. As far as the quality of construction, the TTI's do appear to be better made than most but I'm no fan of the "step" design headers.

    Another Header Question

Thanks guys for the info. At least now I kind of have an idea of what I need to do.

    Another Header Question

Need some help........here's the deal. I'll be putting a 414 (stroked 340) in my 73 Duster soon. I would really like to run a 1 3/4" primary header but I've seen this discussed on other threads and looks like the possibility may be slim of finding one that will fit. For example, I notice that...
