I have a Firm Feel stage 2 power steering for my 72 Scamp and am really happy with it. I am on the West Coast so it was a no brainer for me.

What are you going to be doing with the Duster? City, Drag, AutoX..? I only see 2 (posi) Sure Grip units and 4 ring/pinion combo's.

The larger tie rod sleeves give less flex and are a better handling feature, and yes you need to use the larger threaded tie rod ends.

Have cars both ways, I would do what ever way you want but, if you have the washer stamped a particular way, thats how I would install it.

Josh, that is the way they were welded at the factory, L LCA left side welds R LCA right side welds and hemi71x is exactly right.
