    Looking for original 340

I have a car that was a shell and did not have one single screw or bolt left on it. Literally. The floors were all gone, I mean not there, front to back. It had a vin, fender tag and broadcast sheet. Because Mopar people are the way they are, I figured it might be out there. I was right. I put...

    Looking for original 340

Question? Why do you jump in every thread of this type and state the same thing? Does it really bother you that much? Some people want their engine back. I got mine after being parted out. It’s not impossible. Just wondering.......

    STOLEN 66 DART HARDTOP

Damn, that sucks big time. I do hope you get it back, you never know. They may just try to dump it quick once they realize what kind of "Dart" it is. No offense meant. They just might have thought they were grabbing a '69 340 Swinger or the likes. Good luck.

    340 block 3G132816

Yes. There is a machined surface about 3/4" X 4" long with stamped numbers on it just above the pan rail. Passenger side. Unless it was a warranty block which I believe would be blank. Also the year will be in the casting on the side of the block.

Well color me blind, OK, don't bother. I must be! Actually, I just went there again and it must only be members that see that. I'll register and see.

    Found - Canadian build sheets U-codes - 71 GTX & 70 Charger

I have just spoke to the guy with the sheet. He will be checking on this thread and post a pic. I went snooping around there but I didn't see a lost and found section. But I'm glad you found this. Sure hope the car can be located.

    Found - Canadian build sheets U-codes - 71 GTX & 70 Charger

Thanx TA. I know it happens fairly regularly. I have been through your site checking for stuff for my cars already! I just thought it was pretty cool that he found 2 U-code sheets in the last couple months. Being here in Canada and fairly unique cars, where the Mopar community is fairly small...

    Found - Canadian build sheets U-codes - 71 GTX & 70 Charger

A friend of mine has a knack for finding broadcast sheets in cars that don't belong to them! A while back he brought home a 69 Charger that had a changed set of seats in it. Wouldn't you know there was a build sheet in the back seat. This is for a 70, U-code, triple black, I believe 4spd...

Searching for my numbers 340 and 727

It's not totally unrealistic. I recovered the 383 for my 71 Challenger RT after it was parted out 20 years previous. But I knew the area the car originally came from so that gave me a target. I also knew that Mopar guys are Mopar guys so the engine was likely pulled and stored or used as opposed...

    Found: 68 GTS Engine

You never know. I found the original engine for my '71 Challenger RT roughly 20 years after it was parted out! If there is a chance of reuniting it, this is likely the place it will happen.

    I believe I stumbled upon a '68 or '69 Belvedere...

You won't know how bad it is until you drag it out. As I said regardless of what you do, there is more than $200 worth of parts there. Are there clutch pedals? If so, that's probably $200 right there.......but I doubt it is a builder. As said there have been worse resurrected, talent and money...

    I believe I stumbled upon a '68 or '69 Belvedere...

Regardless of what you end up doing with it, I can see over $200 worth of parts. Heck the dash actually doesn't look bad. That could be deceiving in the pics though. But with it sitting on the ground like that the frames rails are likely toast. Offer him $100 and drag it out of there. What's he...

I'm not positive by any means, but I think the VIN is on the dash in '69.
