    As stated above, drilling deeper and tapping will keep the block usable. Its a water pump mount, minimal PSI. The gasket and silicone will be fine.

    Not quite. There are forged and cast cranks each requiring a different balancer. 71 383 2bbl cast. 400 cast.

    Drop them out the bottom. Of course the rad support can be removed but that’s a heck of a lot of unnecessary work! Unbolt the kmember and lift the car off. Or just pull them the old fashioned way.
