I don't see why that would not work fine. My belt goes around three pulleys, one of which is adjustable (the manual idler pulley). Yours will also go around three pulleys also, one of which is adjustable (the PS pulley). I'd be fine with that.

I don't really know what the CFM rating was. It's been a long time. But I bet you are right in saying I probably didn't have enough. Griffin does make a good radiator, but I did not care for the fan setup.

FYI, I tried a rather expensive electric fan setup with very poor results. I know there are going to be a lot of people who say that they use them with great efficiency, but they did not work well for me. I eventually trashed the setup and replaced it with a stock shroud and pulley driven fan.

OK, @Mopar Virgin, I see the confusion. The fan switch is not a dial. It is a lever that clicks a few stops to the right and a few stops to the left. You can call it a dial if you want to.

I still don't see a dial. You posted 2 pictures; one in #5 and one in #7. Both of them had lever style controls for both the fan switch and the temp/mode controls. What are you calling the dial?

How is that a "dial"? Those heater controls are EXACTLY the same as my 69 Barracuda, and I put a CAA AC kit in mine. If you follow the instructions carefully (It looks like they finally updated them), your current non-AC controls will work great. Don't bother jury rigging a fix around it...

I have a 340 that is about 100 HP over stock, and that extra power adds extra heat. My car runs at about 180 for 9 months. Then in June - August, it runs at about 200, and it is happy to be there. I used to worry about it, but at 195-200, my car runs fine, and I have never had a coolant overflow.

Go with the Classic Auto Air Perfect fit unit. The unit works flawlessly. The instructions left a little to be desired, but hopefully they have fixed that. Unless you are a really good mechanic and fabricator, I think you will find that putting the 73 unit into a 67 if far more work than desired.
