If you are not using the factory radio, I use the orange connector/wire from the radio for my aftermarket gauge lights... That way they brighten and dim with the dash lights... The orange wires under the dash are usually in the same circuit as the dash lights....

Pull the cluster and check all the wiring to make sure it hasn't rubbed through the tape and insulation and is grounding to the dash frame... I had that happen once on a 69 valiant...

Just back up and see if the switch works...

You need to plan a little more... What radiator are you going to use??? that could cause more issues if you don't go with the proper one... If you are going to use the original 69 style radiator, I would recommend going with the 69 and earlier water pump and timing chain so the lower...

Here's one of Halifaxhop's distributors in my buddy's 69 Dart in case you want a reference... He curved it for us and we dialed in the timing... Excuse the third one as I came off too hard and had to let off it early...

Just get one from our member @halifaxhops He will build it with good quality parts and can even tailor the curve for you...

Turn the key to the on position and check the voltage on both sides of the ballast resistor... One side should have 12 volts and the other should have 6 volts... The coil + wire should have 6 volts also...

Bump up your timing to get 34° total... You need more advance...

If there is a voltage drop with the ignition on, just drive it with the ignition off and you will have the proper voltage...
