If you are asking me,the torker 340 is on a 70 duster with 10:1 cr 340,comp hyd...292-501 cam,2.02 heads,a 750 dp holley,727 with 9.5 ptc converter 3.91 rear and is a street car...runs 7.8 in the 8th and 12 in the 1/4 spinning. It's a little cold natured but otherwise very streetable.

Tm5(the earlier of the 2)has a lower floor than the newer torker 340 that's about the only difference in them.the torker 2 is way different...way taller and curved runners.I've never ran the torker 2. i took a performer air gap off my duster and put a torker 340 on it and picked up almost 3...

I wash mine and clear coat em...keeps em looking good and easy to clean off if you wanted to.

i think the float may be too high...if it was electrical it would fire right up,sounds to me like it floods when you corner hard and would explain the hard start afterwards.

I think there shouldn't be a clip in that area and if you hafta have one there use the smaller one that slides up in the crack... I'll try and post a pic of one. mike bee

thermo quads,holleys and avs carbs are all good!you just gotta know how to fondle em correctly.also x2 on the torker 340 being a sl better than the torker II.....m1 single plane for me tho.

well...i think i got it fingered out.i replaced the tank and sending unit,butt like a dumbass..not the fuel line. pulled the carb back apart and there's fine rust partestickles all in it.i new i should replace the line! im gonna clean it again and put a new line on it and i think it will be...

thanks for all the input....gives me something to check.it does have the tall primary jets...i'll check metering rods tomorrow. it is the right carb according to gg book. the stuff in the kit looked just like the pieces i took out...down to the pump. i compared all parts...all were identical...

i set floats as directed....how would that do it?unless it was to high and flooding some....it's only rich acting when the choke is on,just for a few seconds...maybe a minute.

could you bend the rod for adjustment?i've tried all 3 holes with no change.i guess there's no easy fix for the pilot hole being wore...the pump seems tight in the bore,and starts squirting way up high...

the best way to clean out a rusty tank is with a new one....i get mine from vans...there the cheapest and work great,and i think there close to canada.i deffacatly wouldn't want to run any crusties through my 10k 340...
