Use an OE clutch fan if you can. 18” diameter.

Do you have a video of this running with the fans on? I must also run a pusher fan in my dodge truck with a small block 671.

Maybe switch to a mechanical clutch fan, properly shrouded…

1/2” clearance is plenty. I’ve had 3/8” of clearance from the fan clutch to the radiator on my ‘68 barracuda with small block. Never an issue.

That electric fan is no match to what a mechanical clutch fan can produce as far as CFM required. Under all circumstances I will always use a mechanical clutch fan if I can.

How does the factory shroud fit?

I was looking on there I don’t see a part number on it. Strange. It may be on the backside of it where the clutch bolts to. I’ll look when I have it apart next time.

Just thought I’d update this thread since I started it. I ended up using the 7 blade fan shown in my original post, with the MP viscous clutch, on my ‘74 W200, original radiator and shroud. It’s a rebuilt 360, 10.5:1 compression with a little baby cam not worth mentioning. I have a Stewart...

I have that same fan and clutch on my 74 w200 with a 360. That fan really moves some air. It works good. I can appreciate the time and work it takes to polish up those blades, I tried and gave up. I painted the SOB. Lol

I really don’t know, that’s one of the shortest clutches available. Measure from the water pump fan mounting flange to the radiator. What is that measurement?

What water pump are you using? Can you post a picture? Most SB water pumps I’ve come across were 1.75” for the lower hose.
