How I do mine.

Usually a ‘97 Dakota with a 5.2. A genuine Denso unit is best.

They are made by Billet Specialties available at Summit Racing. They are aluminum, no insulator. The MSD wires clip in nicely if you use a shot of CRC Silicone Spray.

Thank you. That engine is in my 74 power wagon, I’m using hedman elite headers. But I did the same plug wires in my dart with tti headers as well.

My ‘74 power wagon has the 5 pin with dual ballast resister. I don’t know what or why they did the things they did. I got that 5 pin you see from Halifaxhops.

I have a digital 6 plus. I’ve had it new on the shelf for 10 years. Then 2 years ago I get to finally use it. All seemed good but the tach signal didn’t work. I sent it to MSD for them to fix it. Cost was 40$ plus return shipping. I haven’t used it yet. Car is off to paint. My reply is worthless

I remember searching for a couple hours Online looking for them. The number 10 terminals make it difficult. This may be a part for us all to save when guys part these cars out.

Pretty cool if you can make USA made units again. im thinking of going with the whole FBO ignition and using his distributor. I don’t know yet.

Exactly what I was thinking. No more tools to install & remove that little wire. Just a simple weatherpak connector. How many times I have dropped that little nut and lost it!!

Yea I’d actually use that instead and cut the wire with plug on the donor vehicles wire harness and splice that onto your car.

If you are going to use an MSD box go with the Digital 6 plus.
