There was an earlier thread where a guy used an LA plate on his new Magnum and it totally wasted the bearings. This was about the same time that I was putting a Magnum in my Dart but I'm using the 90* adapter which is not a problem.

I saw that and actually might use one on another motor that is a 360LA which that is for. 5.9 Magnum has a different balance. The weight the PF listed is the only one that I can find that is for 5.9 Magnum only.

I've heard the the Magnum head with 1.97 valves out flow the X head with 2.02 valves.

Still think this was misleading of them. You could put the kagger intake on it and that would have everything for the factory MPI and A/C.

I checked into this cause I want to put the factory Magnum a/c, alt, and belt setup on my 5.9 in my Dart. My MI dual plain doesn't have the bosses needed the mount the factory brackets.

Edelbrock made 2 dual plain manifolds with the same part number. One has the bosses for the factory a/c and one doesn't. I also have a MI single plain manifold with the bosses. Also their ratings are with 1-5/8" headers and 750 carb.

Why do they not recommend using the factory MPI or AC if it is just a stock motor? I wanted to use one in my Dakota but didn't because of this statement.

I have a 2002 Mopar Performance catalog that has the crate motor specs. I'll post it later. Intake, cam and springs and some other things upgraded over the truck motors. Their HP ratings are with a 750 cfm carb.

The 5.9 convertor has a balance weight for the 5.9 that the 318 convertor doesn't have.

Yep you need the 67-72 340 mounting brackets. No confusion here.

67-72 A-body 340 biscuit type will work. Can use 273/318 with spacers on the right mount.

Planning on stroking a 5.9 to a 408 and using Eddy heads for my Dart. Will it have enough air flow with the stock EFI throttle body and intake? Thanks
