I just picked up this 70 Dart last week and it also has the same 928 deck lid emblem.

Okay this is kind of weird. The books shows the 2839928 2-pin for 68 Polara and 3504199 for 70 Dart deck lid. I have the 928 that I took off of my 70 Dart and along with another one from another 70 Dart. The book shows 2786482 for the 70 Dart hood 4-pin which I have 4 all from Darts.

Yes the 70-72 bumpers will interchange. The mounts are the same too. The factory replacement #3595032 is for all three years.

71-2 B bodies it is purple.

Jim, I just looked in the 70 FPM and it shows different part numbers for roof side drain trough moldings with V-top and w/o V-top. 1970 Dart. 2-dr H/T 2783020-1 w/o V-top 2840982-3 with V-top One of them has a purple tint on the inside but I can't remember which is which.

Yes there is a different molding for V-top. I'd do it like the factory did too.

Back in the 70's big white lettering was the cool thing and we had the same problem. Bleche Wite was the answer.

Hoods are not hard to find so replace it. I'd just find another steel fender and extension too. How is the inner fender? It doesn't look that bad.

I would say yes on both.

Generally if they have screws at the ends then they probably have hat pins welded on and nylon clips. Remove the screws and then use the blade to pop them off of the clips.

73-6 doors are the same so the contour there would be too. I think that would hold true for the 67-72 also just the lines being different. I can check.

I would say that all 67-76 A's would be the same. I have enough fenders that I could verify this and I also probably have some good braces. I could also check them with the earlier fenders too.

I did mine. Used a rag and lacquer thinner. I still need to install the fender emblems which means drilling holes as my fenders were replaced with non Swinger ones..

1970 they are on the quarters behind the door. 71-2 they are on the fenders.

It is best to tap them out from behind. You can carefully pry them off but is a bit tricky not to chip the paint. Can be done though.

Did you find the pivots?

They are only about an 1" off but enough to be a pain. The fill tube hole in the trunk pan and the boot are different. I put the earlier 18 gal tank in my 72 which usually takes the later 16 gal tank and it is not working out with hole and boot. Matt2000 has a fix.
