    Parts Cache Value…

Doc, do you really have $500k in outstanding student loans? Ouch!! Damn man. I'd be putting the 15-20k into knocking that down, then buy parts later.

    Parts Cache Value…

If your plan would be to flip it to make money, how much is your time worth? Think of the hundreds of hours it would take to sell the stuff. Just not worth it to me. If you actually want or need the stuff, go for it!

    Distributor O ring/ gasket part #

 Good call. My dumbass didn't even notice the date. Is the bottom of the tang on the shaft bottoming out in the gear slot? Is the o-ring keeping it from going down? Maybe try it without to see if it drops.

    Distributor O ring/ gasket part #

Yeah, yours is obviously not right. Easy enough to troubleshoot though. However, I was referring to the original post. Maybe start a new thread to avoid hijacking his.

I must be lucky. I've never had a distributor leak at the o-ring. Do you have an operable PCV system?

What Are You Doing To/With Your Car Today?

That's a slick idea. Do you also pull the sensor when not in use? I ask because I thought about putting my AFR gauge on a switch so it wasn't on all the time, but both Innovate and Autometer said that wasn't a good idea because the sensor would not last if it wasn't powered when the car was running.

    SMALL rechargeable LED work lights

I've used this one for years and love it. It's bright as hell and a charge lasts a LONG time. The magnet is very strong and even has a hook. It's priced higher than when I bought it, but it's easily worth a twomp in my opinion. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DCL81W3/?tag=fabo03-20

Re-grinding a cam, educate me please

The last time I called Oregon cam, I was told they can only adjust LSA as much as the core will allow. Which, for the cam I wanted, couldn't be done with the stock roller LA cam I had because the LSA was too wide on the stock cam. He also cautioned against grinding too much because it'd be...

20 Inch Rims on a Dart: Check it out

This thread reminds me of why I don't take any of my junk to car shows. There are always guys that are way too comfortable telling you whats wrong with your car. You'd think they'd have better things to ***** about. I bet they're really fun to be around too.

Break in cam with new Schumacher ceramic headers?

I've done it. They turned out fine. As mentioned - give it a ton of timing, like 40* at least. It's not under load, so it'll be just fine.

    66 vs 67 Dart

Pretty sure Dougs makes a drop-in header for a small block in an early A. Probably other options out there too. You could always go with manifolds too. It doesn't take a lot to get these little cars moving.

    Am i a lucky man ?

Damn, I like 'em both! I'd love to have something like that '36 to drop the 340 that's in my 68 Dart in. I've been looking for a while for a roller, and people want stupid money for the real old stuff of that vintage.

1971 Dodge Dart Rancho Cordova, CA. Pick-N-Pull (Not Mine)

Man, ain't that the truth! There was a time when I'd do anything to score good parts on the cheap 'just in case' I ever needed them. Now, I've come to the point where my time is more valuable to me than spending a day under a car in a gravel lot just to score some parts that'll just end up on...

I've always thought of those bail clips as a bandaid for a poor original seal/retainer design. Personally, I've never had a problem with a properly crimped retainer. I do like the molded boots though. Those look pretty slick.
