Hello from SW WI, my name is Galen Govier and I just signed up to this site.

Great point. I'd think any business owner would want to respond to criticisms from unsatisfied customers with - at the very least - some BS excuse to try to clear their name. The radio silence seems a bit odd.

Hello from SW WI, my name is Galen Govier and I just signed up to this site.

Just reading through some old threads on this and other sites tells me all I need to know about the guy. Seems that plenty of folks here have had first hand experience dealing with his bullshit. No thanks. galen govier...

Badass man! Since you asked for pointers, I'll throw out my two cents. I'd imagine procuring parts must be tough in that part of the globe. Because of that alone, I'd be careful about diving in too deep. Maybe just tackle the mechanicals and get it road worthy from a safety standpoint. Then you...

New guy here with a 72 Duster :)

Yeah, all of the steering is still stock 72 stuff, including the k-member. You can tell quickly by the biscuit style motor mounts. You're figuring all this out though. I'll reply to your PM with more info. Congrats on the car btw. It's a really solid Duster - just needed some attention. It was...

New guy here with a 72 Duster :)

Scody's right. Front brakes/upper control arms were off a '73+ A-body from Pick-n-Pull. If I remember correctly, the 8-3/4 rearend was out of a b-body, so it's a tad wider than the A-body version. You know this, but it's all large bolt pattern stuff.

New guy here with a 72 Duster :)

Hey - welcome to the site! That was my high school/college car! I'm glad it found it's way into someone's hands who will actually do something with it. If I had the room for it at my place, I'd have swooped it back up. It's crazy how fast it turned to **** once I sold it back in '05-ish. Let me...

In all fairness, you'd be hard pressed to convince anyone that your 68 Dart post car is a GTS. Just do it and don't look back. Be sure to post up some photos.

I've got a frankendart similar to what you're describing. '68 Dart sedan with '69 GTS stripe on back and 68 GTS hood. I got it like that, so I don't mind. Also, it does everything I want it to, so I don't care what others think. Personally, I like the shape of the GTS hood better than the...

Lunati lifters vs comp cam lifters

Most hydraulic lifters these days suck IMO. Every set I've gotten lately always has one or two that bleed down after a couple days of sitting. Either way, I tend to favor the ones with proper snap rings as opposed to the little wire clips, or whatever they're called.

    Happy Kid!

Good for him! This is a lot harder of a hobby for a kid his age now than it was for me when I was his age 18 years ago. I couldn't imagine being a 16 year now and trying to take part in this hobby. Sure beats sitting in front of a tv, that's for sure.
