    MOPAR DOOR HINGE RESTORATION SERVICE

Man am I glad you posted this! It made me realize I forgot to seal mine when I installed and aligned my doors recently. What I do is, once I get the doors aligned where I want them, I take the bolts out and wrap the base of the threads with 3M butyl strip caulk and reinstall (one by one as to...

    Underbody paint advice needed

I used raptor liner for the rear part of the interior in my '66 Dart. I wouldn't worry too much about the thickness at the spring mounts etc. If you're worried about it, you can always go a little lighter in those areas. Or, you could avoid them all together (assuming you plan on using a shutz...

There are several whole vent window assemblies on ebay that include that piece. Maybe put a wanted ad on here. Should be able to find a replacement pretty easily.

Gotcha. Is where that knob hits adjustable?

'69 Barracuda door glass, front up stop?

I believe the up-stop should be at that slotted hole towards the top right above the front door handle hole. Looks like it's missing all together.

'69 Barracuda door glass, front up stop?

Post a photo of the interior of the door so someone can point out where the adjustment is. Hard to describe with just words.

    Replacement door hinges without bushings?

I used the RestoRick kit with the oversized pin on the hinges on my '66 Dart (as described in the thread). It worked perfectly. He even sells the proper reamer - at least, he used to. I'd reach out to him if you want to do it yourself. You may find the roller pin(s) to be badly worn though. I...

You may want to try calling them. They have quite a few items that isn't listed it their catalog. I've gotten lucky before calling them. Good luck!

    Duster windshield removal/replacement

A lot of people have good luck without using sealer, but the installation procedure in the FSM specifically states to use sealer "across cowl top panel lower windshield frame area." The installation procedure is actually pretty thorough in the FSM. As post #7 pointed out, the 3m bedding compound...

That's what I thought. Thanks for confirming. The one on my '68 Dart is upside down and it's always bugged me. I'll have to fix that.

Are the lock cylinders for the decklids on these A-bodies supposed to be oriented with the pins on top or bottom?

    Help identifying rubber bumper locations?

Thanks. Yeah, I'm pretty sure the door bumpers don't really matter because the shape is essentially symmetrical, like you said. The decklid bumpers are the ones that are tripping me up. I wish I had paid attention when I took my old ones off.

    Help identifying rubber bumper locations?

Thanks for posting this thread. It's been helpful as I put my '66 Dart back together. Do you have a photo of how the decklid and door bumpers are oriented? They aren't exactly symmetrical and I've forgotten how my old ones were oriented. Stupid me!! Door bumpers: One side's got tiny ridges on...

Inner Panel Rust Treatment - Decklid

Not sure if this was directed to me, but what I did with the 30:1 citric acid was added more water and neutralized it more with sodium bicarbonate, before dumping it down the drain. At 30:1, the citric acid solution to begin with is not very concentrated at all. I'm sure what I did was more than...

    Rust Removal

I tend to favor phosphoric acid. I posted some photos of a good example of results from phosphoric acid here: Questions for Evaporust Users I've never used muriatic acid, but I'm sure it works well too. As an alternative, citric acid works in a pinch as well. Here's an example from when I used...

    Rust Removal

For me, it really depends on how large the part is, how extensive the rust is, and what the texture of the part that needs rust treatment (i.e., smooth sheet metal vs. rough cast iron.). Either way, I tend to favor an acid treatment of some type or mechanical removal with a wire wheel or similar...

I think I may have found the source of the small Max Wedge scoop. Unfortunately, I think it may Unlimited Products Fiberglass. Where did he say that? I took his question as - he wants to know what color his car is based on the touch up paint he has. He should probably clarify what he's trying to find out.

Small Max Wedge Hood Scoop Source???

I hadn't thought of that. That's a great idea, but I guess the only problem with that would be that the dimensions would be way off if I cut 10-12" off the front.

Small Max Wedge Hood Scoop Source???

Yeah, I saw that one. Unfortunately, that's just about the stock size and would almost go to the front of the hood. The one I'm looking for is about 12" shorter. I've been looking all over (AAR/Stinger, Unlimited, Kramer, etc.) and can't seem to find the small version. I'll probably spend some...

Small Max Wedge Hood Scoop Source???

Does anyone know who makes a smaller version of the max wedge hood scoop? For some reason, I'm having trouble finding this smaller version anywhere. Here's the...

I'd use some type of adhesion promoter and SEM "Color Coat." It comes in a bunch of different colors and is meant for that application.
