    1963 Dodge Dart 440 727 install.

All of these cars are slightly different so what makes a 727 fit on one may not apply to another. However, on my '66 Dart, I was able to fit a 400/727 combo with just flattening the pinchweld at the bottom of the firewall. I did end up raising it an inch to allow for a transmission blanket.

    440source rockers now available

When I spoke to them about ordering a set of these for a 470 build, they steered me away. Sounded like they only recommend them for mild street builds. They sure do look nice though.

    400 motor parts

Without ever hearing that 400 run or driving it, how do you know it even needs an upgrade? Have you pulled a valve cover? It may already have good rockers on it. Heck, the heads could be heavily ported. Either way, I'd be hesitant sinking money into it without getting a solid baseline first.

Is this a good deal for the MP purple shaft 284 528 solid lifter cam and lifters new in box.

Probably a stupid question, but if those are solid lifters, why do they have a lock ring?

    Remote starter button

That's slick having one permenantly mounted in the engine bay. I'm adding that to my list for when I wire my '66. That's an awesome idea for folks with trunk-mounted batteries and non-stock wiring.

Big Block Plug wires with Victor Heads angled plugs

A bunch of the Mallory cut-to-length sets were on clearance recently. They're the same wires as the overpriced MSD ones, but were only about $20 a set. I'd check to see if they have any left. If not, they look identical to the Summit-branded ones I've purchased in the past. I'd bet money they're...

    Torque Strap install

I realize it's not much help now since you've already purchased a torque strap, but it's very easy with biscuit mounts. Simply drill through the driver's side mount and use a countersunk 3/8" bolt through the whole "sandwich" with a nylock nut on the top side. Only a keen eye would spot it and...

For the big block guys from 440source

It just looks goofy in my opinion. I agree - we can only dream of having the aftermarket support the other guys have. We're lucky for everything we do have.

400/426 Stroker. Ever heard of one?

Did that $1600 include rod and main bearings, or a "precision balance" (whatever that means) like the 440 source kits? Either way, it's different and it's a Mopar big block, so what's not to like?? I'm looking forward to seeing the build. Have you thought about the top end at all?

    Best balancer under $250

I've heard some guys have had to hone the ID of some of the cheap balancers due to improper sizing and/or issues with pulley alignment. One a side note, I had to laugh at the one review on Summit for the Speedmaster balancer. Dude built an aluminum 572 hemi, but cheaped out on a Speedmaster...

    Distributor bushing removal in car

Interesting! I've never seen the purpose-built tool for removing those. Makes sense though. Hell, a bolt with grooves cut into it welded to a piece of all thread and a nut looks like it would get it done. The OP should be able to figure something out.

    Distributor bushing removal in car

If a pilot bushing attachment on a slide hammer won't fit, make an adapter for the end of the slide hammer like this and thread it into the bushing. I made this one to remove a pilot bushing in my 727.

For me, it's not even necessarily the CAPS. It's the lack of punctuation, spelling errors, and run-on sentences. Those, coupled with the CAPS, makes it VERY difficult to read your posts. If people have to put that much effort into understanding what you're trying to say/ask, they generally...
