    back space question

Even though I see your point as in billet versus aluminum.... why not buy wheels that fit properly or change suspension components besides "jerry rigging" the car. Cheap scape mentally I guess... ??? Surely wouldn't put them on front of the car like the OP is mentioning. Glad he listened to us...

What's the best way to measure for tire size.

Most of the time it's guess work and head scratching or copy cat what others are currently running. I've always been interested in one of these Percys tire measuring tool. Just wondering how accurate they are.

American Racing - Torq Thrust D -- Old vs. New ?

Might had been just a fad I guess? When everyone and their brother wants something seems that something is always expensive. Like a new arrival of the latest Playstation for example. Then time goes on... nobody wants it... and the price drops. Just a guess.

    15" Wheels.

If it was me I would take the front and rear wheels and tires off one side of the dart. Especially the front. Mount the Dodge truck wheel by using a couple of lug nuts and look and see if there is any clearance issues. Turn the steering to the lock and see how much clearances you have...

Always remember to fully tighten your lug nuts

Besides lug nuts I think you lost your studs too... lol Man those studs are real short.

    Tired tires

At the time I started looking I had a 06 Kawasaki ZX-10R (sport bike) so I wanted more comfort but still that giddy up and go. I can't remember how I came across that video but once I watched it numerous times I started looking. Triumph dealerships didn't have it here in the SC. I even tried...

    Tired tires

I guess if I was going to drive 123MPH they would be worth every penny. I have a motorcycle and I know the reasons behind cheap tires and good tires. You don't want to be on a motorcycle with cheap tires and ride it like I do...lol Here is me at "The Dragon". Notice my foot peg. It scrubs...

    Tired tires

Actually I need a 26" tire if I want it to feel up the fender well nicely. I will however send that link to a friend of mine who owns a VW bug. He has a problem finding tires.

    17's on a 1962 Valiant Wagon

It is my belief that eventually we are going to have to go to a larger wheel. Think about how many tire manufactories are depending on the 16 and larger wheels now days. My friend who owns an older model VW bug has a hard time finding 15" tires. He said he used to use Firestone but they quit...

Yeah I saw that..... not good. Oh yeah I didn't think about that. My bosses son has VWs. He might know where to get some tires. Trying to avoid buying wider front wheels.

    Tired tires

Ok guys thanks I put the car on "dollies" so I can roll the car around in the shop. I doubt that helps the flat spotting since it is still sitting on the tires. I assume the rear tires do the same thing even though they are radials. I guess I just don't feel it as much since they are on the...

    Tired tires

My poor 67 cuda is stored in a shop and I seldom drive it. I used to drive it pretty often but bought a motorcycle and that kind of put cuda on the back burner. Now what happens is the front tires develop flat spots on the tires from what I can gather. So when I drive it the tires will beat me...

These (interim) wheels all that bad?

Sounds like you need lower profile tires in the 60 range. The 75 isn't working and it might scrub on the front as well.

    15x8 on a '67 Barracuda.

I used offset hangers to give me a little additional room with the the 15x8 but I needed that with the 275/60/15. These tires seem to bulge out more on the side walls.

    Removing lug bolt?

They are pressed in so knocking it out with a hammer shouldn't be a problem unless its rusted really bad. You just want to make sure its not damaging the axle while you are doing it.

After 6 years, body colored wheels!

If the wheels and tires was static balanced the wheel weights could have been placed on the inside of the wheel. Other than that I'll give you a thumbs up.
