    IMM Engines insisted I not go over 9.4 on the 408 stroker engine he is building for me using pump gas in my daily driver dodge ram. Pump gas is crap and it isn't getting any better. I'm running a 5.9 engine in it now ...completely stock engine with add ons with a SCT tune on it using 93 octane...

    I tried a single plane on a 10:1 comp 383 with a 484 mopar cam and it was lame. I changed to a performer intake and it spiced things up. The engine was in a 68 charger. I installed 4:10 gears with 275/60/15s and a 2800 stall converter. That car was fun!

    I had a 383 built just like you mentioned except it had a .484/.484 Mopar Performance cam, Performer intake, 750 cfm holley, headers, and it was nothing close to weak. Also it had stock 383 heads... I wonder if the 440 heads is killing it? It was however in a 68 Charger with 2800 stall...

    What is still made in the USA anymore? Even Harley Davidson has parts coming from Japan. I saw a bar code that had Harley Davidson on it but had "Made in Japan" on it also. Saw this on a motorcycle thread in which we was discussing the very same thing.
