    Starter stud

    That is kinda what I was thinking...make small lead and make it permanently part of the starter with solder. I would think if you tried to run a thread die over that small of a post you would snap the post off, not a lot of meat there.

    Got the volt meter out and found I have power at the light sockets but a weak ground. I unwrapped the harness and to my surprise a bunch of broken wires up under the battery box....fixed all that and....LET THERE BE LIGHTS!!!!! The car starts now with the lights on or off...lol

    I thought the same thing, there is grounds that plug into a spade on the taillight housings, the only ground I see up front is one wire on the drivers side hooked to the negative battery cable. Do you have a car you can look at?

    No spark but 1 spark on "shutdown"

    I had the same issue with stock ignition...turned out the wires to the distributor were broken...drove me nuts!!!! All I did was swap carbs out and all the sudden no spark.....make sure your coil wires are on the correct terminal also...
