I have been shifting mine in the forward pattern for 51 years without missing. Just got back from running through gears shifting about 5800 just below 6000 chip. Man I still enjoy it, Joe
I have one behind my 499" in the 67 GTS. Kenny Ford at PTC built my trans and converter. I wanted to use my stock console and shifter so he put a forward manual in it.
If you are using it as a street car I would stick with the 3:23. I made the swap to 3:55 and wish I hadn't. But if you are going to do it I have heard nothing but good about the Dr
you will have to shorten driveshaft. Are they both same bolt pattern? May have to do some adjusting on emergency brake cable where they connect from two cable to one if the cables are not same length

reason I just bought complete 742 with 3.23 suregrip from Cudaspaz for half that. Gives me another center section I can swap out depending on the need at the time,Joe
