    NHL 23-24

Rangers played the Isles and Flyers last two games and have looked like a team just playing out the string. Despite the lack of effort, we still have the best record in Hockey right now so I'm not concerned. No need to go all out and risk injuries before the playoffs.

    NHL 23-24

LET'S GO RANGERS!!! Cautiously optimistic about our prospects right now. I'm always afraid to open my mouth but honestly, I can't remember the last time this team has played as well as they are playing right now. We're not getting pushed around, we come back as if it's part of the game plan...

    any record (45/LP0) record collectors?

I've been to Jerry's! You can spend a lot of time in there. Most anything of value gets picked up quickly so you'd be extremely lucky or willing to pay a lot to come out of there with anything special. I just logged in to Dicogs which I haven't done in a long time. I actually need to update...

    any record (45/LP0) record collectors?

^ Yep, go on Discogs and search away. It's all record nerds. Put your rabbit hole shoes on. There's also a function where you can list your whole collection and the program will give you an estimated value based on condition and desirability. https://www.discogs.com/

Can an Engine run on an engine test stand with a Holly sniper FI unit?

Dyno, yes. Engine stand, probably not the best idea. Modern dyno shops are equipped to handle EFI but an engine run stand is pretty basic and really doesn't have the peripheral equipment to facilitate it. Run stands don't put a load on the engine either so it's not really a true break-in. But...

Efficiency....what methods do you use to make a job go easier?

To answer the original question a little bit better - I'm definitely guilty of creating the snowball effect. Being a perfectionist/overthinker with textbook ADD does not help that trait at all. I can't replace/build/fab/restore something and put it into something that is dirty/crusty/rusty. No...

Efficiency....what methods do you use to make a job go easier?

I am the opposite of efficient but I'm not getting paid to do stuff in my garage so it's fine. My shop and benches are always a mess to the point where I can't find stuff if it's put away. When I was a dealership tech I had no choice but to be efficient. If there was ever a situation where...

    NHL 23-24

My Rangers are playing pretty darn good right now while barely managing to consistently put it together for all three periods. Convincing W against the B's on Saturday though! Also consider we're been rolling without Adam Fox and Philip Chytl for a month and with the aged Jonathan Quick picking...

The end is near for Hot Rod Magazine

Surprising that any magazines are viable these days, the internet basically wiped them out. I used to enjoy going to the news stand or book store to buy a few car mags but I haven't done that in years. It has to be really hard for print to compete with instant content now. Stuff like the Drag...

440Source "Stealth" heads, your experiences and opinions

7 degree locks are probably OK if you’re using them in a milder application that is mostly part throttle operation. If you’re running a big roller cam with high RPM you’re likely beyond using those heads anyway. Sure there are instances where people push them to the limit but in those situations...

440Source "Stealth" heads, your experiences and opinions

Can't beat them for the price. Tons of builds out there with their stuff and most of the time people seem to be happy with their parts. Several years ago they would get bashed for this or that on the forums but they seem to have weathered the storm. Those heads fill a void for guys that don't...

    NHL 23-24

My NY Rangers showed some guts last night against Arizona in a tight game that ended with a brawl. Chris Krieder is going to be third on the all time Ranger scoring list by the end of the year, totally under the radar as one of the top scorers the last two years. This group of Krieder...

Remote Water Pump for Small Block questions

I've had a bunch of Andy's stuff over the years. I'd bet he would have machined the backs of the fittings for an o-ring but I don't know for sure since as far as I can tell, he does not sell the adapter blocks. The blue -16 fittings you can get anywhere but they're obviously useless if there is...

Remote Water Pump for Small Block questions

I just remembered that Meziere makes this backing plate to use with their electric water pumps. In a way you'd almost need it or something like it. Not sure if it's thick enough to tap for pipe threads. If not, one would have to figure out how to seal whatever fittings you use to the water...

Remote Water Pump for Small Block questions

What car? Is this for a turbo or supercharger application? If not, then it's probably not worth the effort or expense. As an in between option, you could get an electric water pump which eliminates the pulley and belt. But to answer your question - perhaps the image below would give you an...

Have not seen an official Carlisle 2023 photo thread yet so I'll start one here. Below is a link to my Google photos page with almost 200 images from this year's meet. We had a blast and are already looking forward to next year. Let's see your pics! Carlisle 2023 photos

    NHL Playoffs 2023

Well the Rangers survived another elimination game. Hopefully they will gain some momentum from that. They won two playoff elimination games last year so it's not a stretch for this group to do it again but they sure don't make it easy. I'll admit that I basically wrote them off after that game...

    NHL Playoffs 2023

Honestly, they've had our number more times than I care to admit. They've always played a very defensive style by clogging the neutral zone but we seem to have found a way through it this time. I'm sure they will make adjustments to try and find more offense but their backs are definitely...

    NHL Playoffs 2023

Panthers are one of the few teams in the league that played well against the Bruins this year. Bergeron was out too. My Rangers with another solid win. We have outscored the Devils 10-2 over the first two games. Our PP is rolling right now.

    NHL Playoffs 2023

Kane has been laying low for the most part just trying to fit in. I don’t think we have seen all of what he can do just yet. Hopefully he contributes like everyone knows he can. Pretty big adjustment for him after all those years in Chicago but he should be ready to go by now. Panarin is all-world.

    NHL Playoffs 2023

LET'S GO RANGERS!!! We're hot at the right time. I always worry about both the Devils and Carolina but I think we're playing as good as or better than both of those teams right now. We're also healthy for the most part and Igor is basically back to his Vezina-trophy winning self. No matter...

Many resales of the Holley (Sniper) & other aftermarket Fuel Injection Systems

Part of it is the marketing. People read "plug and play" or "best thing since sliced bread" and think they will get super awesome performance with zero effort. Could not be further from the truth, have to read between the lines. Can't tune the thing on a dyno if someone can't even get it...

Many resales of the Holley (Sniper) & other aftermarket Fuel Injection Systems

Trust me, it's really not that complicated. If you've ever wired an MSD into a Chrysler product you're halfway there. Yes, you have to figure out stuff like how to get ignition-switched power to the components but if you can understand that concept then it's just another job. Here's an example...

Many resales of the Holley (Sniper) & other aftermarket Fuel Injection Systems

    1) Yes. The Sniper in my Coronet works great and has for three years. My car runs better than it ever did with the Edelbrock 750 carb that was on it when I bought it. Gets slightly better mileage too but that was not intended. Before the EFI, the carb and ignition were both tuned, meaning I put...

Old man winter lost his mind in colorado

Downright balmy here in CT, was 60º today. No snow this year at all save for a few overniught dustings that were gone by 10:00am. Cold for a couple days here and there but otherwise it's been a non-winter. Very strange and unnatural.

Lack Of Literacy Really Ticks Me Off

Written language is obviously not the same as speech since there's that awful grammar involved. Grammar is supposed to be a standard methiod of expressing language that is free of regional dialects or accents. It just so happens that it requires some amount of thought and/or effort to get right...
