    Trickflow trackheat or performer rpm

If my 414 small block with RPM intake made well over 400ft;lbs. from 3000 up, I know damn well a 512 should be making well over 500ft;lbs from 3000 up.

    440 in 72 Dart Swinger?

If I had the money back then I would have gone 4.18-4.25 crank and made mine a 426-440. Hughes Engines has a 4.18 crank kit to build a 426-435. It's about $3400 though.

    440 in 72 Dart Swinger?

I contemplated a big block swap as well. I figured I already have small block setup why not make run like a 440. Stroker crank, TrickFlow heads, hi lift roller cam. Not too hard to get 440 numbers. Simpson Speed shop made 560 torque & 580 hp with his 414. There's a guy with with ported Trick...

    440 in 72 Dart Swinger?

Just buy conversion mounts to get the engine in. A Body big block headers that fit well can get expensive. Manual steering will make your life easier as far as fitment too.

    Cooling issues

I had them both at a set temp at first but the temp would creep up to 210-220. Even on the highway! Would stay cool in traffic though. It's all good now.

    Cooling issues

I don't remember whether I used the original holes but it's sitting on the core support. I just have bolts up toward the top. No cutting involved.

    Cooling issues

I have a Champion 26" radiator, Ford Contour fans with a Dakota Digital controller on my 414 small block Duster. One comes on with the key, the other comes on at a set temperature. Can't remember what temp though. Stays below 200. Bought the fans thru Rock Auto.

    Dyno a 7.5:1 400? Sure, why not?

I like the incredibly flat torque curve!

    Is this a good idea?

I have a friend with an original '73 Dart Sport 340 who swapped in a 383 just by swapping in spool mounts from a '76 Cordoba. A '75 Dart should have spool mounts as well. Go for it!

    2 1/2" or 3"

I'd like to see a real world chassis dyno & drag strip test results from 2.5" exhaust to 3".

    2 1/2" or 3"

Go for the 3" w/ Dynomax Ultra Flows. 3" will not clear relocated leaf springs with a stock fuel tank. A fuel cell is required if exhaust is run to the bumper. 496 stroker usually means in excess of 500 hp.That's supposed to be the dividing line from 2.5" to 3". Hell, I'm putting 3" on my 408...

408 stroker vs. 500 stroker Challenge fun!!

This might be impossible with a budget of only $5000. Why go rotisserie resto but only $5000 on the driveline? I've got more than that in just my engine! I'd go stock stroke smallblock. Cheaper.
