I swear by Lokar throttle and kickdown cables, you get what you pay for or someone will say I told ya so.

Balance driveshaft anytime you change u-joint, also sometimes you can flip driveshft where it goes into the rear yoke, that cost nothing.

Try and squeeze a extra can of posi lube in there, that's a cheap fix.

I did mine about 5 years ago seams like there was a o ring and small cork gasket in there. It might have been two o rings. Those parats above from ebay is what you need.

It will go just be patient and keep turning or spinning with light pressure.

Year one may have new ones.

You guys don't clean your house and garage that well. Graphite is best I grease mine every ten years or so just for ***** and giggles its like a ten minute job. Maybe 15 minutes if your over 200 lb. I also have mine off my 67 barracuda, 61 inches long and it screws on both ends.

I always pull the inner cable out, than I feed it back in while working grease all over the cable that way it stays for awhile.

This might be why people use 8 3/4 or dayna rears.

If you didn't lube your cable your spinning your wheels, these old cable need lubed. Everyone has different ideas on what to lube it with, but you will have to pull the inner cable out and lube it, generasly.

I think the bells are diffrent from 6 to 8 cyl. Someone can confirm this.

Not sure but you might need some 391 gears with that set up that will take the high gear bog out of it. Good luck.
