    I do know that in the historical interpretation world, there are requirements to include various hallmarks and other things to show the item is not original.

    No the holes were good. I used JB Weld and tapped them in. I test fitted each plug as there was some variability, so some plugs fit better than others.

    I'm in the fit & figure stage right now, putting the mounts between the saddles an springs to locate the bar. Then see if I have room around exhaust, tires, etc. Then comes the bending.

    Unclear as to whether the design was patented or as you stated, it was trademark / branding.
