Found my dads original 1971 duster!

Oh no, I didn’t see anything on a screen. No numbers or temps etc. I just asked him to take a video of the engine running, so I could hear it. He emailed it to me. I wasn’t there for it I’ll have to find the video

I think i broke rear main bearing

It looks like there is already a heli coil in the other hole. Someone probably used bolts that were too long and cracked it. A thread sert would be more than sufficient to repair that. Yeah, heli-coils are awesome but on something like that I would use a solid thread sert.

I think i broke rear main bearing

I'm not gonna lie to you guys I half assed it threaded it and put a longer bolt. It has less than 10k on the motor from what he told me but I'm gonna put a bigger motor down the line regardless but for now I think I should be fine I hope? That's a tomorrow problem lol I know I shouldn't half ***...

Found my dads original 1971 duster!

I am talking the downloads to computer files. It should show Oil PSI. water temp. Load on motor, etc. Post it again so I do not have to go back through all the posts but if you are only watching max HP and max torque. Your are not watching engine temps and oil psi and that is what kills...

1968 Dart sudden rear end noise.

If your existing differential is not repairable, or too costly to fix, a b body 8.75 or 8.25, or a Ford 8.8 from a Ranger pickup, or an Explorer are also options, with varying costs involved. The Ranger will have 28 spline axles and drum brakes, and the Explorer will have disc brakes, 31 spline...

Found my dads original 1971 duster!

That does not make it right. 10k for a long block rebuild with a cam? And you will not stand behind a stock motor? I don't care if you are Keith Black, that is B.S. Hell, you can buy a motor from summit cheaper and with a warranty. This good man depended on them and paid more because of their...

1968 Dart sudden rear end noise.

Wow. So what is my best option here? Is the 8.25 much sturdier? I just don't understand why Chrysler wouldn't just put a more robust rear end behind all the a bodies. I like the B body cars like.the Satellite and Coronet a lot too. So all 8.25 dart rear ends had larger bolt pattern wheels? What...

Formed, Machined, and Assembled in the USA !!!

You laugh, but consider the Chinese car brand Chery. Three guesses why they made up that name, and the first two don't count. See also: "Haier" Chinese appliances, which suck out loud. Even their name is a cheap knockoff of the second half of Liebherr, a legitimate company with a history of...

Maybe just ask for the Dyno downloads. They should have them if they are computerized. I would go to their shop and ask. Have you took possession of the motor?

Copied from the Trick Flow site.... "All Trick Flow products are 100 percent cast and machined in the USA. We feel this is important for a number of reasons. Headers vs. Manifolds

The race car I bought that had this combo in it actually has a set of fender well headers on it. I just don’t know that I want to cut up my fenderwells to make them fit. The HP manifold that I’m looking at buying are $400, which is about the cost of the set of summit or jeg’s generic headers...

275/60/15 sidewall clearance to leaf spring clamps- suggestions?

They are 5 x 4.5 bolt pattern. I don't believe they make them in a 4" bolt pattern but you can contact them and check. If not, I'm pretty sure Wheel Vintiques makes them in a 4"

Has anyone had experience with Kumho tires

I have no need for RWL and only like them because they are old school. These tires will take the Dart around town for an occasional cruise and for going out to a couple of shows in the area, farthest away is about 35 miles. If I can save a couple hundred bucks and still have a good looking tire...

do your home work first, I would not put them in defensive mode. Reputable shops stand behind their products and they are not doing that before it even leaves their possession.
