Brake Improvements - Looking for thoughts

1 inch master is stock for KH front disk. 15/16 master gives more pressure to the calipers. The pressures front to rear without a proportioning valve should be the same. My dart has 215 70 14 tires all 4 corners. I can't say I have tried to lockup the fronts but the brakes are much different...

A body 73 and up vs 72 and older front track width questions.

this is probably the best answer. bringing up the ride height and a slightly shorter tire will probably keep you out of trouble, even better if you have some stiff bars to limit the travel. on my 69 i'm at 26" with the 73~76 parts and quite low. i'm clear of the fenders except at the center of...

That’s from the main man John Calvert himself. When you buy his product you trust what he recommends. So I bought what he said.

Brake Improvements - Looking for thoughts

I have a 68 Barracuda, 367/4-speed/3.55s/ at 3650 pounds/me in it. In the back are 295/50-15 on 10x2 drums, also no proportioning. In the front are 235/60-14s on KH 4-pot calipers on something like 10.7 discs The master is a 15/16 Disc/drum; On the back are 15/16 w/c's the Booster is off a 73>75...

I did try 2 different converters to see if it would fix the lousy 60’. First was a TCS and the second was from Ultimate Converter Concepts.

How to measure Intake Manifold Height

After some scrubbing I found this. While Edlebrock states the height as x what they seem to soec is carb height. This is measured at the bottom of the manifold.

    4.2 lever change

I would be inclined to change linkage adjustments first, then check fluid pressure and maybe turn it up, it could also be the governor weights. I rebuilt my 727 with a bolt in sprag, 3.8 lever and 12 springs, new clutches, steels, and seals. I should have replaced the RV govenerweights. It’s on...

'70 Dart 392 Project; what direction?

Got fuel lines buttoned up, power steering lines done, and got a plan for throttle pedal. Going to modify the factory pedal to accept the LS cable attachment. Also got hydraulic clutch bled and working great. Sure is nice to sit in the drivers seat a pump the clutch and shift through the gear...

    VIN Rivets

And all the GM cars used the 5 point MOPAR rivets too. NOPE they are also 6 point, so are AMC. I think my 1989 BMW 635 CSI M6 was also a 6 point rivet..... Was not a Manufacture mandated rivet. It was a FEDERAL mandated rivet.

A body 73 and up vs 72 and older front track width questions.

The diagram is from a factory TSB that's available on The 1970 Hamtramck Registry Home Page I'm not at all convinced that narrowing the track width more will make up for the 26" tall tire. That combination of rim and tire is already over ~1" inside of the fender lip. I suspect all you'll do is...

I’m glad they work for you but they didn’t work on my car. 2 years of adjusting and several phones calls to Calvert himself, I gave up. Wasted a lot of time and $ with cal tracs and I will never use them again.

    4.2 lever change

Doesn’t the band lever correspond with how many springs are used? For example 4.2 15 clutch springs 3.8 10 or 12 springs etc.
