    zinc oil useage?

Just got off the phone with them. They recommended the TR1R 10w30 for both Vixen and Gladys. Summit sells a case of 12 for like 139, which ain't terrible. I may go ahead and do that next payday. He said their PPM of ZDDP was 1800.

    Irregular Rough Running

I wonder if the distributor cap may be cracked or corroded or the coil flaking out when warm? Ive also seen the pickup in the distributor go goofy when warm.

Of course those spark plug wire holders are factory! At one point or another, pretty well every inanimate object comes out of a factory.

    440 purchase

Old school build with the CH4B and those beefy adjustable rocker arms (the newer ones were slimmed down a bit). There's a set of TRW forged pistons in there for sure. :)

    Are these valve covers factory?

I was just looking at that too I don’t think that car on barn finds is a 340 car. I think someone is trying to pass if off as one. It’s sold so it doesn’t matter really but my curiosity was piqued

    Looking at a 1965 Dart 270 Convertible - Questions

Nice car. Mopar didn't have many production figures for those cars. Yes, the 4 speeds had Hurst shifters in 65. May be @65dartcharger can help.

    Looking at a 1965 Dart 270 Convertible - Questions

I am going to look at a 65 Dart Convertible tomorrow and have some general questions I hope someone can answer. The car is a slant six (225?) and 4-speed which the owner states is factory Hurst shifter. Was there a factory 4-speed Hurst shifter in a slant six and are there production numbers for...

    Low peak oil pressure

Just recently did mine.408 with all the GJ oiling mods.10/30 break in oil,Melling HV pump,3/8 electric drill got 75 PSI constant pressure.when drill stops takes about 3-4 seconds for oil pressure to bleed off.Restart drill should have instant oil pressure.

They are factory covers, are they correct for a 72 340? They look like my 67s, I thought the wire retainers changed in 69? Alan
