Ship hit bridge, bridge crashes into water

I took a Carnival Cruise out of Baltimore years back that went under that bridge. I don't remember it being guided by any tug boats at that point. The span was wide but cruise ship top wing was like 50 feet from hitting bottom of bridge very close. Local news is saying port workers have or...

Ship hit bridge, bridge crashes into water

I haven’t been following my post as closely as I should but I will go back and do some catching up Hopefully. I heard weight numbers today of material on the ship that has to be removed and the number was downright crazy high.

Ebay water pump does $1000 in damage.

What's concerning about this is, that water pump is likely made by the same company that makes water pumps for all of the big box stores.

Cast crank, low comp. 340 is worthless to most of us hot rod guys unless you are going to make it a stroker.

Ebay water pump does $1000 in damage.

Correct, especially if you happen to have a commercial account. That's exactly why I set up a commercial cash account with OReilly. Plus, it offers some discounts.

Yeah well rpm ain't everything to a streeter. example; 7500 in first gear(TF) with 3.23s comes to 68mph. Did I say still in First gear? With a power-peak near 7000, what cam do you run, and how's that gonna run in Drive at 30 mph? No thanks. I'll take the 408, or 388 (4.04 x 3.79), or even an...

Well, I had figured it was going to take some time to get this sorted. Working here & there between work & my dad’s problems I’ve made some progress and said I would update. Thanks good info I'm not well versed on large Diesel re-startup. Everything I read, so far, said that all the smoke was from trying restart the main engine, but not providing propulsion. I will admit I work with submarines, so if we need a Diesel crap has gone sideways:)
