That's because horsepower keeps climbing with RPM. That is, until parts are layin on the ground. lol

Ship hit bridge, bridge crashes into water

Looking at how quickly and how drastically the ship turned after the power loss it almost makes one wonder if the steering defaults starboard during a power loss.

Ship hit bridge, bridge crashes into water

Was that based on some procedural documentation that can be provided? The video I posted before shows that the ship track only changed after loss of power, while it may have been to the left of the support it hit, actually further away, it was still within the channel used for navigation.

    Are 340’s rare

If it's a big port 396, it's probably got 30-40% more head flow than your typical 408 head. Even a stock oval port bbc head will flow 50 cfm more than a stock 440 head. The peanut port bbc that all the chevy guys laugh at outflows a 440 head. Flow restricted 408s make great torque, great for...

    Are 340’s rare

I'll say it again, it's also about bore to stroke ratio. My math says 4.04 minus 3.910 is .130 and not the .049 you calculated. That's over an EIGHTH of an INCH bigger bore. That's a big thing. I'll take RPM over stoke length any day.

Ebay water pump does $1000 in damage.

Some people don't know this, but.... EBAY SELLS NOTHING. THEY MAKE NOTHING. They are just a site that allows vendors to get a broader audience to sell their products. EBay isn't the one to blame, it is the vendor and manufacturer of the product.

Ebay water pump does $1000 in damage.

Doesnt matter much where it came from, i doubt any vendor would have covered any of the damage

Stop in for a cup of coffee

So I’m actually really lucky. There’s very little rust. Light surface is an understatement with this one. That said, I’m using an implement primer from John Deere with a rust converter and then top coating with high gloss black and a clear coat over that.

Ship hit bridge, bridge crashes into water

That makes sense about the tugs. Many variables could throw a container ship off course BESIDES intentional outside influence. Wind, current.....and on and on.

    Are 340’s rare

While 340s are not rare, they are valuable. They were made well past just six years, too. You have to include boats and over the counter parts sales with warranty engines and blocks and from Mopar performance as well. Both of those numbers are probably difficult to track, so there's no telling...

    Help?

Exhaust pipe hanger. Sorry but your photo is horrible. Take a few more photos and put carbboard under the part. That floor does not photograph well. Too busy. Maybe a few different angles would help.

    Someone should buy this

I put the group and the owner of the parts above. If you aren’t on Facebook the legwork is on you.
