67 2 Speed Wiper Switch Demystified

On an interesting side note. One of my motors has only 2 wires going into the actual motor and the other has 3. In the 1970 master tech video they talk about wiper speed based on which set of windings were used. I'm wondering if that's not the case with the newer style in my 2/67 built dart (...

Tachometer bouncing (MSD ignition wiring question)

So I am trying to run down an issue with my '71 Duster 340 4-speed. The problem is that the aftermarket original-looking rallye tach jumps quite a bit at high RPMs. It seems accurate at idle and low speeds, but whenever I get on it, it's all over the place. It will usually settle down at the...

I saw many take off's and landings of F-4"s on many different carriers during my two tours of the Tonkin Gulf. Still like the F-4's the most.

[FOR SALE] 67 Barracuda passenger fender

I have a real nice fender for a '67 Plymouth Barracuda. I had it sandblasted (except for the factory rustproofing on the inside) and worked on it a bit to get it looking really nice. The hard work is done, I'd use it on my car. This fender is 57 years old and hard to find. $800 firm...

    76 breaks problem

Something I misses... (but thanks michiganpat for the note about 7 1/4 cover and tube change in the later years) The 8 1/4 uses internal C clips no bearing retainer (From Ebay) Older 7 1/4 use traditional bearing retainer (from OP) in looking at this site it looks like all the ford...

    Are 340’s rare

Yeah, i don't understand the 340 lust myself.. it's like the chevy guys with 327's and double hump heads.. You can still buy a running 440 with trans for $700 (was one on FB last month) or a 340 block for 2k.. For the numbers matching guys i get it though.. but still..

    Glamour Shots.. '62 Valiant Wagon

3/29/24: I have been getting some things accomplished: The 10" Rear parking Brake Levers arrived and got installed. This 3rd member was missing the pinion snubber, I was going through some bins of parts and found 2 of these that I had stashed away when I was a kit and forgot I had them. So i...

    Are 340’s rare

Back in 2008 I drove to NJ to buy a std bore 340 block. $500 with main caps no rust ect. I built the stroker with that block. If I had to do it today I would look for 360 roller cam block to start with. 340s in good cond are cash cows these days pricy supply demand out if whack.

    Are 340’s rare

I can find a few 340 engines every once in awhile, they are not cheap at $2500-$3000 on the low end and higher depending on condition over here in the north east USA compared to a 318, 360 or even a big block 440(I was tempted buy a cheap running 440 and 727 combo once lol).

    Classic Auto Air update 3/28/2024

That a good setup they gave you. I would have to hassle with Classic Auto Air to swap bracket setups, exchange it for the one they gave you. I would also have to chase down a '69 and back original two groove crank pulley which is not reproduced. '69 and back small block pulleys are red headed...

    Are these valve covers factory?

Car is in storage till end of April, so can't get a better picture right now. Believe it is a where the engine was built and passed inspections or something. Someone else here can remember the decal place where I got it, E C something? It was $25. or so. Okay, the sticker says: This...

    Nag1 to mopar 8 3/4 diff

He's running a Nag1, not a motor home trans, but yeah, it's a bolt on yoke to go from a flange to a ujoint. They are pretty pricey too.

sadly nothing controls it... when i lay on my back under the car if i move right it's like being hit by lightning... makes things interesting :) no biggy.. you can get used to anything.

    Classic Auto Air update 3/28/2024

Maybe consider getting the add on lower pulley like came with my setup? It puts the compressor and idler out in front of all the other belts and dedicates a belt for the AC alone with good belt wrap. Just a thought. I assume you would need the compressor bracket for a non factory AC car for...

    452 heads on a 1965 Wedge ?

LOL...there are so many guys building higher than orthodox compression ratios pump gas engines it's not funny. Then you have certain people who will argue to the death it can't be done because THEY can't do it. Sad really.

    452 heads on a 1965 Wedge ?

Nope. The guy on ST out of Canada that has Firebird or something like that in his user name. Who knows, that could be your alter ego over there because that dude says you can't run more than 9.5:1 on pump gas. That's wholly ignorant. Many of us who never bought the "pump gas limits compression...
