If you had read my reply, I don’t think you’d be writing what you did. As to directly reply to your post, I agree. For clarification purposes only. I have had a low deck B-400 in a ‘71 Duster w/a 727 & 4.88 gears. The car was gutted and a pair of basic race buckets installed. SS springs, 6...

Jon wins E/SA in a Strange Final in Vegas

We ran 10.8 and the competition ran 11.0. Adjusting for track Altitude that would be 10.6 @ Sea level track (We are 2000 Ft above Sea Level). It was 95 Degrees and the weather station was about 4500 adjusted altitude. This adds about another -.25 to our ET meaning we would have been 10.35 to...

    "gripper pattern" u bolt question

Both my 62 and 64 b-bodies with original 8 3/4 rears, 64 is an original 8 3/4 Sure-Grip, do not have the flat top knurl u-bolts. When I rebuilt the 62 rear I put the flat u-bolts on it, fearing the worst. Just redid the 64, couldn't find the flat top ones, bought them from Espos along with the...

I need some information about tie rod end construction

My grandma had 2 of those...at the same time...and she used to drink Budweiser with me on her old TV trays while watching the Chicago Cubs. She taught me how to Waltz after the double replacement whether I needed to know or not. LOL She was the **** of the walk with a double swivel.

Are My New 727 Clutches, Bands, or Fluid Burning?

So a few things, what brand Type F did you get and did you go with Type FA or Type F? reason I ask is because FA has a little nastier of an odor out of the bottle than just F. Second, if you want to know if the clutches are burning, you need to drop the pan to see how much clutch material is in...

Jon wins E/SA in a Strange Final in Vegas

Thinking about this a little more, and with all of cameras out there in the world, not to mention on-site, it would be interesting to see if anyone caught some of this on video. My guess is that the track "conveniently" wouldn't have anything.
