Carb help * the famous debate and 2x different cars

Well, back to the OP's question. Both of the cars are primarily street driven, correct? If I were you I'd stick the 750 Eddie on the crate 360 and drive it for a while, see what it does for the type of driving that you do - you already have it, you might be surprised. Don't screw around with...

Dan, most Canadians have traveled many times in the USA. You saying that towards a Canadian is more unfair than people chirping you about buying a car at this point. Just stop over thinking your dream and pull the trigger.

    zinc oil useage?

S'cuder. You sound like a very sensible guy. I am sure Lake Speed is very knowledgeable. I don't want an opinion, I want to see a test that compares the same oil with & without zinc in it. Then the result is fact, not opinion.

    zinc oil useage?

NB Turk, You better contact Lucas Oil company & tell them they got it wrong. While still looking for something on the net that proves zinc is a power eater [ found NOTHING ], I came across a Lucas advert that claims because it has MORE zinc in it, it INCREASES power...because it...

The transmission was still leaking, so I got this newer style of pan and gasket: I don't think I need the extra capacity, I just wanted a pan that's not 60 years old and bent. The drain plug is a big plus too. Transmission Pan Gasket Unfortunately on a cable shifted early A904 it...

Carb help * the famous debate and 2x different cars

NB Turk, I don't give advice. My BS meter is starting to peg the needle in the red zone with all your BS. Your comments further show how little you really know. Air bleed action is so fast & transient that A/F sensors are far too slow to pick it & only react after the fact. Below is...

Thanks! I tried that, but in the upper hole it wouldn't start and in the lower hole it didn't really make much difference. I ended up using some carb cleaner and then adjusted idle, timing and idle mixture and the stumble is gone. Also adjusted the choke and fast idle and now it starts really well.

Yeah 12:1 on pump gas...& iron heads. Yeah right. That is why we are all doing it........because it works every time. Every time now I see a post by Newbomb Turk, the needle on my BS meter shakes violently..... I have had engines with 8.5:1 CR detonate on pump petrol. There are many factors...
