Not if you mill the 360 head.

Yeah but I have few different manifolds I can put on so I managed to find one to fit (portosonic) but the heads have been milled a bit to get from memory about 58 to 60 cc from the 302 closed chamber heads. You have to measure it to really know where you stand.

For a nice cruiser I have to say id rather do the 302 heads over 360 heads and just clean up the nasty in the heads (light porting) as yeah I know, 360 heads on a 318 have been done forever but a 318 is a bit low on compression anyway, I certainly wouldn't want "less" which is what plopping 360...

I just got the white stone he recommended for stainless and LS valves. I can’t wait to try it.

One thought- way back when we dirt tracked (WAY way back), we had to cut a hole in the hood above the carb anyhow (so track crew could extinguish carb fires). If that is still the case for you, it could be a moot point- run the Stealth.

I tend to agree with 318willrun, weiand action plus or edelbrock performer manifold ( the weiand is probably the better intake but not much between them). Vac sec carb around 600cfm (holley or carter/edelbrock - whatever you are most familiar with for tuning purposes), headers and dual exhaust...

Truly I like the push button auto. It brings back good memories and hope someday to ride in your car.

How many rows does the big block rad have. I know the inlet and / or outlet tubes are larger in diameter than a SB

MY cousin ran the stock two barrel over the eddy for his late model, one of the open wheel guy's said on the dyno the stock made more hp, enough to make up for the extra weight up high given faster lap times. Try both what ever gives better lap times go with that.

I'll get hammered for this, but is a cowl induction scoop legal for the class you will be running. I'd really like the Stealth if possible.

The 1st engine I put in my B'cuda(many years ago) was a 383 I literally threw together with parts laying around the shop and a 484 purple cam. I hoped it would stay together long enough to sell the car. I(obviously) never sold it. I beat that poor 383 ruthlessly for many years...it didn't make...
