Also know that it takes a looooong time to get through the event. It’s not like NHRA where there’s a strict live TV schedule to maintain. Finals can (and often do) happen after midnight. Weather delays can push the event to Monday, or the next track. All that being said, and as others mentioned...

UPS delivered some stuff today including Wilde brake spring tools - made in the USA. Save me the trouble of fixing the "pro" tool that came apart last week. and a new wrench roll to replace th ebadly decayed one that lives in the 'ammo box'

Don't ever trust a picture, period. This is a fine example of why not to buy sight unseen and not another one for me not to buy online.

Read the tips on using the windage screen. Basically its best to open them up a bit - add another pair or two of louvers. Let us know how the intake valley splash pan fits. The one in my current 340 took some fitting but I cant recall if its a Milidon or Moroso

Clean up the frames with a angle grinder wire wheel as best as possible and paint. Install the covers with each side folded up in the FINAL position before hog ringing the listing wires. Do you have/need the horizontal listing wires for the backs? Are you installing headrests? Legendary...

I have been to two at New England Dragway. There's only one place to get tickets for an NPK event and that's at the foat.com. There are different ticket levels from general admission to VIP seating. This year they have what they call the Ultimate Rockstar ticket package which provides a...

    Phoenix area mechanic recommendations

No worries, man, I know it’s a big ask. And it may just need to sit in my garage for awhile. The engine shop that built the motor said I could bring it there, but I’m looking at a very high dollar an hour and they won’t have room for it for at least eight months. But I appreciate you...

If they are coming to Joliet then yes, you can walk around and look at the cars. I bought tickets beforehand a few years ago when they raced in Joliet and it wasn't a packed event. They'll make everyone sit on one side so it looks like there are more people for TV purposes.

    Painting, aluminum heads

I am building a 431 from a 383 block and I’m going to put aluminum heads on my motor. My question is about painting the heads, I have read and heard different opinions, so I would like to hear from some people that have done it, or have not.
