Unless you are just REALLY wanting to use the pushbuttons, get a later model 904 for a V8 and use it. You could easily use an aftermarket shifter to make it work. Finding a cable shift 904 is harder than it used to be, plus...you need one with a valve body from an actual push button car instead...

If your engine is smoking in the morning on start up its time to take it to rehab. If its smoking oil first thing in the morning its probably addicted. Take it for help. Smoking oils should only occur after working hard and this should be in the evening after a couple beers or a meal...

My take on smoking engines is, if they sit for a period of time they are going to smoke upon startup. Even though the tolerances on my race motor is dead on factory specs, it smokes upon initial startup. That is the nature of internal combustion engines, especially if the specs are a bit larger...

Deep in my heart I think, more like hope, the "Hemi" will be back. The Oval and the Bowtie are keeping their V8's and I think Stellantis may see the error in their ways when they lose the heavy truck market. Just my humble and less informed opinion.

That’s some bullshit right there. I’ve been pulling fuel from a BBC for 18 pulls. The plugs started out black and now they are nice and clean and white with a pretty dry shell. And guess what??? It’s making more power.
