Appreciate some input on spark plug reading

...that the plug is too cold to burn off the tip deposits in cruise/idle mode. It then misfires....right when you want max spark energy. The object is to bring the tip temp to over 400* C & keep it there, where it self cleans; max temp should be 850* C, so there is a 400+* C [ 720* F ] working...

Need a good honest shop for my Dart

I assume you do not have an agreed value insurance policy. It is the responsibility of HER insurance company to put your car back to the way it was. All insurance companies are required to file with the State Insurance Commission. The insurance commission has rules on what the insurance...

Correct placement of 67 Barracuda instrument cluster wire.

Glad to help, if u look at schematic, you can barely see the orientation peg on the round plug. Across from that peg is "dk blue fuel sending", now look across from your peg, that hole is empty. Could that be it?

Correct placement of 67 Barracuda instrument cluster wire.

Thanks 4Speed! But mine looks a shade different. I think that I figured it out by looking at the backside of the cluster itself. There is a ridge to grove orientation at the top of the connector. On my cluster there are 5 pins together at the bottom; 2 at the top clockwise, a space, then one by...

How far in the hole 318 pistons

I disagree about a low compression engine not being ideal. It can be. In the end, it all depends on WHAT you are doing and WHAT you want. Look what Jim Laroy has proven right on this site. Sure, higher compression will always make more power with parts matched for the application. I wouldn't go...

Some dyno testing you guys may want to follow on YouTube

Thank you and I really appreciate the offer but I think we are good with the heads we have for this test. What we really need is a trickflow intake, I ordered one quite a while ago and the date keeps getting pushed further out, I think it is estimated to be in July now!.

How far in the hole 318 pistons

318willrun's pretty much goes against everything he says and is a proven performer, And bet a good chunk of us has done similar with similar results, is it ideal to build a low cr engine no but it's what a good chunk of people have along with high gears and stock stalls again not ideal but a...

    Carb recommendations for my 340

No conversion parts available. Be crafty….. (For the OP just incase…) The Offy is over a $600 intake. The Weiand's have no choke well. (Or coil mount bosses) The Performer is a light weight stock replacement intake that has the choke well. Better options! I agree. TQ parts are available at...

    Tire size for my scamp

On a 5.5’’ rim you’re not gonna wanna go much wider than a 215 or 225 max. Also depends on the backspacing. I’m running 235/60/14 on each corner on stock 14x6 rallye rims.
