Am I going to throw a belt doing this?

The plan is to run a belt on the inner groove of the crank for the water pump and alternator. Outer groove of the crank for the compressor and power steering. Problem is that it also runs down the outer groove of the water pump pulley. I have a feeling this is a no go but I wanted to check here...

    Rear defroster question

I'm in the process of installing the rear defroster and I really don't want to get rid of one of my 6x9 speakers in the back to install it. Do you guys think it would be a bad idea to run longer studs through one of the speakers and just install the blower motor below the speaker? The draw back...

Belts flapping when AC is on?

This is on a 75 Dodge D100 with a 318. The belts are all tight and run fine when the engine is idling. As soon as I turn the AC on, the two compressor belts start flapping as if they're loose and it makes an annoying racket. Turn the AC off and they're back to running smooth and tight. They're...

Water pump bolt wont torque all the way

The bottom left bolt on this water pump on my 340 will only torque to about 15lbs but it needs to be at 30. Will it be ok like that or should I pull everything off and do a heli coil? I'd rather not have to do that if you guys think it wont leak at 15lbs. Thanks.

I couldn't get any heat to the heater core because I'm guessing something was either wrong or the vacuum wasn't working correctly to that valve thats attached to the heater hose under the good. So I bypassed...

Heater problems on an AC car

I've got a 67 Valiant that originally has AC. I removed it because I had to swap engines and haven't put the AC back on. I connected the heater hoses to the engine and the heater still isn't working. The hose that goes into the left side of the heater core has some kind of AC widget it...
