I finally got my 340 shimmed so the Dougs headers don't touch the driver's side torsion bar. The most clearance I can get is about 3/16." Is this enough clearance or should pull the header and dimple it??? I will have a solid drivers side motor mount on the engine if that matter.

I've got to move the 340 over to the passenger side in my 68 Dart so my Doug's headers clear the DS torsion bar. Is it safe to assume a 3/8" shim under the drivers side biscuit mount will move the engine over 3/8" to the pass. side? I'd hate to start banging away on brand new coated headers.

Have any of you guys had any luck with the gaskets that come with your Dougs headers? I'm wondering if I should buy some good gaskets or go ahead and give the ones that came with the headers a chance.
